Senior/Manager - Corporate Sales (Higher Education & Academic Libraries)

As part of our strategic growth plans, Booksmartis launching a new corporate sales team, a key driver of our continued success. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and drive our corporate sales efforts in the higher education and academic library sectors. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our sales operations while playing an integral role in the company’s expansion and growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the development and execution of the corporate sales strategy, focused on expanding Booksmart’s presence in the higher education and academic library sectors
- Drive revenue and profit growth in this key business area
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with university libraries, academic institutions, and educational organizations to ensure continued success and expansion
- Identify new business opportunities while fostering existing client relationships to maximize sales potential and secure repeat business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to enhance product offerings and improve customer satisfaction
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to ensure Booksmart remains well-positioned in the evolving market
- Provide regular sales performance updates, market insights, and business progress to senior leadership.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- At least 5 years’ of relevant experience and proven success in corporate sales, ideally within the higher education, academic library, or publishing sectors
- Knowledge of the Asia-Pacific higher education and academic library market is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a sales team to achieve ambitious targets
- Targets-driven with demonstrated success in sales strategy development and execution
- Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with senior decision-makers and academic stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
