The Global Citizen Academy is The Global Citizen Education Group’s flagship enrichment arm, which offers a suite of enrichment programs in the areas of public speaking, global citizenship, leadership, debate, Model United Nations amongst others.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Global Citizen Academy is looking for Drama trainers for students from Primary to JC level. We are looking for trainers with strong expertise in Drama who can run Drama CCA programs and workshops for students in primary schools, secondary schools or junior colleges.
Trainers should have a drama qualification with at least 1-year relevant teaching experience and should be able to work with students to develop their passion and appreciation in drama and theatre performance. Trainers should be able to demonstrate relevant competencies to guide students to perform at public performances and at Drama competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival. Trainers should also help to oversee scripting or help source for scripting where applicable for both competitive and non-competitive events. Trainers will be conducting the lessons with materials provided by The Global Citizen Academy. This position is based in Singapore, and trainers are expected to travel to schools for on-site training programmes. The terms of engagement and remuneration will be on a per programme basis.
Trainers would work as a freelancer, should reside in Singapore and be MOE-eIRS certified instructors
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Drama CCA training sessions at allocated schools
- Develop students’ appreciation for drama and storytelling
- Guide students in preparation for drama performances/ showcases/ competitions
- Prepare students for group performances/ showcases/ competitions twice a year
QUALIFICATIONS
- MOE-eIRS registered instructor
- Experience in training children for SYF competitions
- Preferred 1 year of relevant teaching/ mentorship experience in Primary/ Secondary schools
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills
- Professional and able to work independently
- Passionate about teaching
