Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced UI Designer to join our team at Singapore First Aid Training Centre. As a UI Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design of user-centred digital products that support our first aid training programs. You will work closely with our product team, software developers, and stakeholders to design intuitive and engaging user interfaces and experiences that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Vision and Strategy:
o Develop a deep understanding of our customers' needs, preferences, and pain points through research and analysis.
o Define the design vision, roadmap, and priorities in alignment with the company's overall strategy.
o Collaborate with the product team to ensure design alignment with product goals and objectives.
- Analysis and Research:
o Gather insights from user research to understand customer behaviour, preferences, and their pain points.
o Analyse research data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
o Develop user personas, user journeys, and user flows to inform design decisions.
- User Experience (UX) Design:
o Lead ideation sessions including team ideation and user co-creation including the development of wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
o Collaborate with business teams to ensure user insights are tightly integrated into roadmaps and the UX process is integrated into agile cycles of development.
- User Interface (UI) Design:
o Design visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with our brand guidelines.
o Develop high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications for development.
o Ensure design consistency across all digital products and platforms.
- Design Testing and Iteration:
o Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions.
o Collaborate with the development team to ensure design integrity during implementation.
o Analyze user feedback and metrics to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Design Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of designers to ensure consistent design quality and vision.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and integration.
o Conduct & facilitate requirements, design, implementation reviews and critiques of other people's work to create achievable, measurable & impactful goals.
o Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
- Excellent design skills, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Well-versed in UX design software such as Figma and FigJam, which helps to create intuitive and engaging designs.
- Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and design systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the education or healthcare industry
- Knowledge of first aid training or emergency medical services
- Certification in design or related field (e.g. CUXP, UXDC)
- Experience with design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience with design systems and accessibility guidelines
- Knowledge of user testing and usability metrics tools like UserTesting, TryMyUI, or Google Analytics
