The Role

The Preschool Educator effectively creates a secure and quality learning environment for the children through nurturing trusting and respectful relationships with them. He/She enriches children’s learning by co-designing and implementing a developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula, while effectively integrating innovative teaching and learning practices. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of the classroom environment including pre-activity set up. Ensure the classroom materials are of superior quality and adequate in supply.
• To manage children between 18 months to 7 years old and provide high levels of interaction to promote critical thinking and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Supervise activities such as field visits and group discussions to stimulate children’ interest and broaden the understanding of their physical and social environment.
• Prepare Lesson Plans in line with the curriculum developed according to MOE Curriculum Framework for Kindergartens to provide multiple experiences and social interactions
• Able to demonstrate and use audio-visual teaching aids to present subject matter to class when necessary.
• Observe and monitor how and what children are learning and use the information to create new learning opportunities for children.
• Observe and monitor how and what children are learning and use the information to develop children’s developmental profile.
• Evaluate lessons conducted so as to determine what children know and are able to do which will help in planning appropriate lessons to enhance children’s development and learning.
• Provide support, warmth and emotional support for the children when needed.
• Instruct children in practices of personal cleanliness and self-care. Exhibit a sense of calm, consistency, grace and courtesy toward the children.
• Ensure the safety and well being of each individual child. Observe children to detect signs of ill health or emotional disturbance and to evaluate progress.
• Maintain an appropriate atmosphere of safety, learning, and fun, in line with YMCA’s philosophy.

About the Role:

As an experienced educator, you will play a critical role in helping students excel in English, Math, and Science, while also supporting students who require additional help with Chinese language proficiency. Due to the curriculum and student needs, fluency in both English and Chinese is required to provide effective academic guidance.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Enjoy evenings and weekends to yourself!
• Subject Focus: Assist students in mastering English, Math, Science, and support those learning Chinese.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of experience in after-school care or Upper Primary tutoring, ideally including:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop training roadmaps for the PCN Care Teams (which includes Nurses, Primary Care Co-ordinators, Clinic Assistants, GPs)
• Anchor the development of standardised care delivery
• Involved in workgroups to support primary care development and transformation.
• Co-create new models of care to support team-based care approach.
• Gather insights for development and implementation of new initiatives and support the administration of the existing primary care model
• Provide clinical supervision and implement framework to ensure patient safety and staff safety for care delivered
• Consolidate and share best clinical practices across the primary care landscape

• Bachelor degree Nursing and / or Master degree in any discipline

To assist EI Educator with the provision of, planning and execution of curriculum under supervision of the Head of Department and Interventionists. Participate in Early Intervention Programme related activities and to provide administrative support to the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist to plan and implement an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each child in all relevant areas of the curriculum in consultation with other Professional Therapists and Interventionists.

· Prepare and conducts classes for children in Centre both, in a group or individually, in the absence of the Interventionist.

· Contribute to writing projected goals & progress reports in consultation with other attending professionals and Interventionists.

· Contribute to preparation of case conference reports and conducts, under supervision, case conferences with parents/caregivers.
