• Min. 2 years of experience preferably in Oil & Gas/engineering
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP knowledge will be an added advantage

• Provide expert technical advice to customers on pumps and their applications.
• Assist customers in pump selection by interpreting technical specifications and operational requirements.
• Work closely with Sales Engineers to prepare detailed technical proposals and support the sales process.
• Manage the sales cycle from quotation through to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Offer walk-in customers immediate technical assistance and product recommendations.
• Lead and mentor a team of Application Engineers, ensuring high performance and technical proficiency.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving technical issues and providing post-sales support.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a technical role within the pump industry or related sectors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and mentor a technical team.
• Experience in pump selection and application engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
• Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Creates detailed designs for HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment, and specify in system components.
• Prepares technical documentation/drawings, including Equipment Technical Specification, Duct & Instrument Diagram, Functional Design Specification, and Site Acceptance Test etc., and submit as per project schedule.
• Lead and manage technical meetings with shipyard/client.
• Works closely with shipyard/client, production and project team, suppliers and auditors
• Assist Engineering manager for engineering design and drawings works
• Other duties as assigned by the Management

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the HVAC marine and offshore sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software (AutoCAD), Carrier HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.

Purchaser duties and responsibilities

Qualified purchasers have to be competent in their responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products and services that their own organization needs. They also need to coordinate the logistics of having them delivered and paid for. Their duties include the following:

• Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
• Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality
• Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
• Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
• Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
• Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
