1. Project Planning:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals in the project planning phase.
   Participate in project meetings to understand the scope, requirements, and timelines.
   
2. Regulatory Compliance:Ensure that construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards set by BCA and other relevant authorities.
   
3. Safety Management:Implement and enforce safety measures to protect workers, visitors, and the public.
   Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
   
4. Quality Control:Monitor construction work to ensure it meets the specified quality standards.
   Conduct regular inspections and coordinate testing of materials to verify compliance with project specifications.
   
5. Budget and Cost Control:Assist in the development and management of project budgets.
   Monitor expenses and costs to ensure they align with the approved budget.
   
6. Schedule Management:Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
   Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to address any delays or issues affecting the project timeline.
   
7. Communication:Serve as a liaison between various project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
   Communicate project updates, changes, and issues to relevant parties.
   
8. Contract Management:Oversee the execution of construction contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
   Manage change orders and variations as necessary.
   
9. Problem Solving:Address and resolve issues that may arise during construction, such as design changes, unforeseen site conditions, or disputes.
   
10. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project records.
    Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory authorities as necessary.
    
11. Training and Supervision:Provide guidance and supervision to construction site personnel.
    Conduct training sessions on safety procedures and construction best practices.
    
12. Environmental Management:Implement and monitor environmental management practices in accordance with local regulations.

Job Requirements

• PhD degree in chemistry, materials science and engineering, electric and computer engineering, or chemical engineering.
• Ample research experience in synthesis of nanomaterials and nanocomposites, perovskite solar cells, smart windows, neurocomputing
• Solid background/experience in materials for optoelectronics and memristors.
• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Prior undergraduate and master students mentoring experience

Responsibility:

• To work closely with SQS in supervising and managing QS’ performance
• To prepare project costing
• To prepare and issue sub-contract to sub-contractor/ supplier
• To manage Project Change Request (PCR) for addition/omission of project funding
• Regular reporting of project account status, including costing, outstanding payment & etc
• Identify, analyze and evaluate problems encountered by QS / SQS and propose the effective solution approach

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Validate Test Floor deviation lots, determine root cause of deviations, classify issues and provide proper dispositions of lots. May call out to relevant teams whenever necessary and follow up with disposition actions.
• Debugging of testing issues, give instructions to MFG on lot handling. May work with relevant parties to work on machine, program, software related issues or server related issues.
• Work with IT engineers/teams (whenever needed) to resolve server related bugs/issue/abnormalities during testing that affects manufacturing operations and processes.
• Troubleshoot abnormal behaviors and bugs of Automated Materials Handing System by performing in-depth data analysis of data logs generated during the event.
• To support and carry out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on tool/apps.
• Assist engineers with engineering testing needed for program checkout and fixing materials issue.
• Set up tableau charts and perform data analysis on abnormal spike of testing/lots’ issues for identifying deviations and follow up with CIPs (T2).

Requirements:

• Possess Diploma in Engineering.
• At least 1 year experience with proven work experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of PC applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, C programming or UNIX will be an added advantage.
• Could communicate well in English.
• Ability to perform 12-hour rotation shifts.
