Overall Job Purpose

Perform non-technical proposal engineering works including coordination and monitoring, provide a support to Section Lead, Proposal, and ensure completion of organizational and management tasks or activities to support the efforts of the Engineering department.

• Develop and implement logistics protocols and databases to support the various projects.
• Oversee the inventory control for receiving, storage, and distribution of goods that includes construction materials, PPE and different types of cables/equipment, after the project managers have approved on the material requests.
• Work together with the project managers to comprehend the needs of the project and make sure that the planning, forecasting, and level of goods in stock are aligned.
• Monitor procurement and/or work orders received and follow up closely on the delivery dates and quantity to be fulfilled.
• Perform regular checks and audits as and when required, to make sure all processes and procedures adhere to the Company's standards.
• Ensure all logistics-related documents are stored and filed properly.
• Maintain proper housekeeping practices at all times.

• Create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily
• Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis, depending on the length of the project
• Attend safety walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks
• Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation
• Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace
• Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident
• Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events
• Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies, such as fire and insurance person

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and his deputy on day-to-day management, site technical/ engineering matters and authority submissions.
• Prepare method statements, monthly progress claims measurement and reports.
• Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and consultants.
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications
• Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards & contractual specifications.
• Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
• Ensuring environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times.
• Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by PE Board/ BCA
• Min. 1 year work experience in Civil Engineering projects
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others
• Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude
