Job Description Summary
As an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding existing door access control systems and driving innovation for new solutions. You will collaborate closely with industry partners and internal engineers to develop cutting-edge products that meet the evolving needs of our business. Your goal will be to lead the advancement of our door access control technology, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Key Job Accountabilities
Industry Knowledge:
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of door access technologies, the industry ecosystem, and emerging innovations in this field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hardware and firmware experience in designing and manufacturing door access systems.
Electronics Circuit Design:
- Expertise in ARM-based MCU and application processors
- Proficiency in RS422/RS485 communication
- Knowledge of Wiegand interface
- Skills in analogy circuit design
- Familiarity with ISO7816 circuit design
- Understanding of ISO14443 circuit design
- RF experience for ISO14443
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge in PCB design and manufacturing
- Firmware development
- EMI/EMC certification
- Linux and/or Android
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Understand existing door access control systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop next-generation in-house products in collaboration with the firmware team.
- Review electronics designs from third-party vendors.
- Develop test environments (firmware and test jigs) for factory testing.
- Work with Contract Manufacturers on the production and testing of in-house products.
- Provide support to the project team to resolve hardware installation issues.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors on housing design for the electronics.
- Lead innovation in the door access control business and partnerships.
