Tasks and Responsibilities

• Familiar with the Marine and offshore engineering process

Job Requirement

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Electrical & Automation newbuilding engineering design.
• Familiar on Power and Automation system/ Navigation system.
• Familiar with Rules and Regulation and Statutory Requirements.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS Office/ AVEVA.

The Senior Systems Test Engineer for Value Engineering is responsible for evaluation of value engineering efforts on current products and achieving strategic quality goals following the launch of new developments (NPIs) and existing products. - Evaluate tender requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Evaluate propulsion system and piping systems that best meet tender requirements
- Formulate scope of work for contract
- Do material estimate for conversion tendering
- Do technical evaluation of equipment supplier proposals

Contract Drafting and Negotiation
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Negotiate scope of supply and services with suppliers
- Formulate equipment technical specifications for contract with suppliers

Design
- Technical discussion with equipment suppliers on system specifications
- Evaluate completeness and correctness of technical information from supplier
- Design engineering layout drawings based on customer's requirements
- Design engineering equipment layout drawings based on contractual requirement and inputs from other trades
- Design propulsion system, ship pining systems & HVAC based on contractual requirement, classification rules and inputs from other trades.
- Tabulate material and equipment list based on propulsion system drawings and piping, HVAC system drawings.
- Plan, manage, produce, and issue drawings to production and other trades to meet project schedule.
- Evaluate technical information of designing systems.
- Plan, organise and discuss engineering systems design with customer.
- Involve in technical discussion with other trades to resolve technical issues.

Test and acceptance
- Review acceptance test protocols
- Manage and do acceptance of system’s equipment during Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to ensure it meets technical specification.
- Attend and support Harbour and Sea Acceptance Test (HAT & SAT) to ensure systems meet technical specifications

Documentation control
- Manage documents control for the department according to standard and practice.

Requirements:

• Degree in Marine, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Have knowledge of Marine Engineering systems design, preferably 3-5 years of direct experience.
• Possess knowledge of AutoCAD / 3D solidworks software.
• Good organisational skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good time management and is able to meet tight deadlines
• Willing to do overtime when required

S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence is seeking project officers to join a university-level research centre collaborating with industry. The position is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will be involved in a project that is related to generative design.

Key Responsibilities:

• To independently undertake research in computer vision and machine learning.
• To produce research reports and/or publications as required by the funding body or for dissemination to the wider academic community.
• To provide support to any students associated with the project.
• To attend, contribute, and where necessary lead relevant meetings.
• To undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background in machine learning and computer vision.
• Knowledge of scientific or engineering software like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
• Research experience in relevant areas would be desirable (preferably worked in R&D sector with industrial experience in the project-related field).

Job Description

• Planning and implementing the standardized process for management of the property and facilities maintenance and repairs
• Assist in developing property maintenance procedures
• Prepare, review and manage annual budget requirements for maintenance and capital replacement works
• Maintain and update property list, maintenance checklist
• Overseeing the compliance with all relevant requirements set by the agencies
• Available on call to handle, manage the potential emergencies at all locations at any hour
• Process and maintain leasing agreements including executing rent payments and agreements between landlords and tenants
• Plan and conduct regular preventive inspections for all buildings and facilities
• Planning and conducting corrective maintenance, repair for all buildings and facilities
• Ensure building maintenance works are carried out according to schedule
• Report any deviation against compliance with all building and regulatory regulations
• Oversee daily estate maintenance operations to ensure technical staff and contractors perform according to requirements

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Building or relevant related fields
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in Facilities Management
• IT proficiency & data management skills
