In this project we seek to determine optimal polarisation structures and determine expected sensitivity through analytic and computational means. The Nanyang Assistant Professorship scheme provides the opportunity for outstanding early-careerresearchers and exceptional scholars from Singapore and around the world, who aspire to a research leadership role at NTU. The selection of the NAP awards follows a rigorous academic peer-review process led by the NTU Research Council (NTURC). The Nanyang Assistant Professors play an important role in lifting NTU’s research to higher levels.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up lab-scale pyrolysis system and optimize the pyrolysis process

• Characterize feedstocks and final products

• Application of sludge biochar in odour control and heavy metals removal

• Perform sample analysis using advanced analytical equipment (GC, BET, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, etc.)

• Be responsible for data acquisition and processing

• Manage project budget and research team, interact with funding agencies

• Prepare research reports and presentation materials.

Job Requirements:

• At least have a Master degree in Environmental / Chemical / Biochemical Engineering, or related disciplines

• Hands on experience in biochar production and characterization. Experiences on biochar for odor control and heavy metals removal technologies will be advantageous.

• Good laboratory and planning skills.

• Ability to learn new techniques quickly.

• Good writing and communication skills in English.

• Possess self-motivation and independence

• Excellent teamwork awareness

The Cloud Application and Platform (CAP) Group from School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking 1 motivated research associate in the topic of “Digital Twin for Advanced Battery Analytics”.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing battery data

• Developing physics-based and data-driven models to characterize battery electrochemical process and health conditions

• Working closely with team members/engineers and assist in developing new features

• Ensuring responsiveness of applications

• Diagnosing the issue and resolving it on demand

Job Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information system or a related discipline

• Good understanding of OOPs concepts

• Proficiency with Python

• Familiarity with packages like NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch or Tensorflow;

• Excellent verbal communication skills and good problem solving skills;

• Able to test, debug and optimize existing code base and other features;
