We are seeking a research fellow to join RRIS. The research fellow will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the institute, driving our research initiatives forward, and ensuring that our projects are executed effectively and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Co-Directors of the Institute and works closely with various teams to foster innovation, collaboration, and excellence in rehabilitation research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Leadership and Management: Oversee ongoing research projects, ensuring they align with the institute’s objectives. Spearhead the development of new research proposals, securing funding and resources necessary for execution.
- Operations Management: Assist in the daily administrative operations of the institute, including budget management, staff coordination, and the implementation of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Development and Mentoring: Play an active role in the recruitment, training, and development of research staff. Mentor junior researchers and support staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Collaboration and Partnership Building: Cultivate relationships with academic, clinical, and industry partners to advance the institute’s research goals. Represent the institute in professional forums, conferences, and collaborations.
- Dissemination of Findings: Ensure the findings from research activities are disseminated through appropriate channels, including peer-reviewed publications, conferences, corporate channels and public engagement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Science, Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience, preferably within a research institute or academic setting, with demonstrated expertise in the related area.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a diverse team of professionals.
- Proven track record of managing a center, institute, or a team.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
