We are helping our client to look for an experience Controls Engineer to deliver hands on technical work. The ideal candidate show have experience in PLC programming, electrical drawing design and etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/assist with development of functional specifications.
• Prepare/assist with budget costing.
• Liaising with clients and company personnel.
• Conformance to OHS&E standards in the design and execution of all work.
• Preparation of schematic drawings, PLC programs and configuration of operator interfaces.
• Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications.
• Planning and supervision of major controls installations
• Manage the procurement of parts, the manufacture of cabinets and the electrical installation.
• Controls project cost control.
• Testing and commissioning.
• Preparation of test plans and operator & technical manuals.
• Training of client personnel.
• Provide customer support.
• Hand over to Customer service

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics
• Experience in electrical drawings design (EPLAN, EEC One, AutoCAD)
• Experience in electrical installation supervision
• Experience in system design (eg power calculation, circuit protection design, safety control circuit)
• Experience interfacing materials handling systems with third party equipment’s (eg. automatic tag readers, barcode scanners, weigh scales etc)
• Experience in PLC software development and office testing (TIA Portal, Ladder, SCL, STL)
• Knowledge of configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs, variable speed drives and safety devices (Profinet, Profisafe, AS-I, TCP/IP, PN/PN, SEW Movitools, Movimot, Moviaxis.)
• Knowledge of materials handling system controls (WCS and PLC integration)
• Writing of technical documentation
• Experience in development of testing environments and conducting FATs
• Management of installation crews

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing & monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability and availability
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, application software
• Anticipating & troubleshooting systems-related issues
• Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
• Liaising with 3rd party vendors, IT providers, etc. for support where required
• Providing Level 2 and 3 support and collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
• Providing technical support to end-users and resolving technical inquiries
