We are seeking an individual with QA/QC experience in the civil, structural, and architectural ("CSA") trades for the position of a QA/QC Engineer for Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Singapore operations. The candidate will assist with the QA/QC program throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data center in Asia (The Project).

Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assuring the implementation and compliance with the Quality Assurance System and for scope of work related to civil, structural, and architectural items. At times and, when necessary, the QA/QC CSA engineer will fill in for the QA/QC Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineers.

It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed and organized individual with extensive previous experience working as a QA/QC on large, international projects with deep knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural systems. There will be a significant amount of “hands on” work understanding and implementing the VDC QA/QC systems. The candidate must have excellent leadership and Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute and share program evolutions and lessons learned with Fortis Construction, Inc. US operations QA/QC Managers

• Play a proactive role with field inspections, together with the subcontractors and the Client in developing pre-test plans prior to contractual testing and stay ahead of normally scheduled inspections with the authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Assist the contractor in resolution of known issues and lessons learned from other sites
• Assist with onsite/remote BIM 360 Field training of new Trade Partners / site personnel (iPad and Desktop) and competency with BIM 360 Field to create issues, capture QA/QC related issues, and create checklists.
• Identify issue and close them prior to punch walk and area substantial turnover date, by working with Client and Trade Partner’s QA/QC team
• Establish a great relationship with the Client, Trade Partner and local AHJ

• Read blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines based on specification

Job Description & Requirements

Requirements

1. Candidates with Railway experience will be preferred.

Job Description

This position is responsible for business development in Asia Pacific region with predominantly focus on Chemicals manufactures, to utilize his or her knowledge to identify, quantify and sell into new accounts, establish long term business relationship with chemicals customers. Job Responsibilities

• Take sales ownership, business development as an individual contributor in Asia Pacific region to achieve sales targets by increasing business to existing and potential customers
• Utilizes specific industry knowledge to diagnose supply chain needs. Develops and prepares strategic proposals. Participates to customer generated RFI, RFQ and RFP.

• Develop solutions unique to each company to reduce overall logistics costs, all whilst improving sales to current and new customers

Regional Engineer

Job Summary

• Supporting regional post-sales engineers on escalations, QA related matters and post-sales activities.
• Providing training to regional engineers to better support market requirements and after-sales support.
• Driving initiatives in improving after-sales support to the market.

Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Window point for all the technical escalation from the region.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and escalate problems/issue via research, testing (on-site/off-site), simulation or working with Japan HQ or relevant department.
• Visit customer locations for evaluation of the situation and perform any escalated repairs, when needed.
• Support workshop/event/seminar as technical support/advisor.

Technical Training

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct product training/workshop to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, conduct, and improve on the training syllabus and materials for offline and online training purposes.
• Work closely with the region’s CS team in ensuring training escalation is planned and executed on-time and effective.

Product QA

New Product

• Align with internal stakeholder on support and warranty structure.
• Evaluate the new products (hardware/software) to understand the specs and key features for proactive support.

Product Performance Reports

• Prepare regular and special reports for the assigned products.
• Feedback to parts planning on the failure trend and abnormal cases to assist the parts stocking.

Service KPIs

• Implement improvement of service/ repair workflow to achieve service deliverable targets (eg. TAT).

Job Scope

• Be the primary technical contact for customers

1. Hands-on experience in preparation of Basic & detailed Pipe Material Specifications, Valve Material Specifications, Various Calculations (viz. Pipe Thickness, Reinforcement Pad, External pressure), Preparation /Review of Inquiry Requisitions (MR), Purchase Requisitions, Piping Special item Specifications etc.
2. Shall be highly motivated and result-oriented.
3. Shall have an engineering degree qualification with about 10-12 years of experience piping material aspects for offshore platforms / FPSO.
4. Conversant with ASME and IS Codes & Standards relating to Design / Material Specification of Piping Engineering.
5. Well conversant with software’s such as AUTOCAD, PDMS, Navisworks jet stream V5 Caesar II etc
