The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for structural analysis and design compliance are met for the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Conduct structure analysis
• Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Develop architectural/engineering drawings and ensure specifications/regulations are followed.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
• Prepare bills of quantities and cost estimation whenever required
• Ability to identify potential and discrepancies that affect the design and recommend solutions to relevant team/department.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.

Value Add of Position

• Design and calculation report for reinforced concrete, steel and geotechnical works using British Standards and Eurocode.

Technical Competencies

• Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities
• Prior 6 years of experience in design and construction (structural). Preferably have done data centre, marine offshore, and mixed-development projects.
• Have completed a data center project
• Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software
• Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred

Job Requirements

· Lead Process Design Engineer for the Process Design of Storage Terminals, Process Units in Refineries and Chemical Plants which involves the Basic and Detail Design including the preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, System Description, Process Control Philosophy, Hydraulic Calculation, Heat Transfer Calculation, Heat & Material Balance, Relief System Calculations, Utility Consumption, Equipment data sheets & Instrument data sheets.

· Prepare Technical Proposals including preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations and system description.

· Design Calculations for Pumps, heating coils, Thermal Relief valves and Tank venting calculations.

· Analyze pressure relief design scenario and calculate the relief load and validate the results

· Prepare Process Data Sheets for Instruments, Equipments & Tanks.

· Review other Discipline Documents including vendor documents, GA drawings, Instrument data sheets etc.

· Participate in HAZOP and SIL study, Review HAZOP Report and prepare HAZOP & SIL Close-out reports.

· Participate in P&ID Design Review and Process Control Philosophy Review, and prepare review Close-out reports.

· Design of Fire Protection System as per NFPA for the Storage Terminal, which includes Tank Farms, Pump Stations, Jetties, Truck Loading Bays

· Design of wastewater collection and disposal system for the Storage Terminal which includes Tank Farms, Pump Stations, Jetties, Truck Loading Bays

· Prepare Surge Analysis report using Pipenet Transient Module.

· Development of automated excel spreadsheets for process calculations.

· Performing Simulation using Aspen HYSYS & Unisim

· Preparation of simulation report & HMB.

· Equipment Sizing and Preparation of Equipment Data sheets.

· Preparation of technical specification in line with the project requirements

· Performing Hydraulic calculation and preparation of Data sheets for control valves.

· Performing Relief load calculation and preparation of Data sheets for safety valves.

· Design of Flare system using Flarenet.

· Utility sizing and Preparation of Utility Consumption report.

· Preparation of Process Control Philosophy & Cause and Effect diagram.

· To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.

· To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.

Job Description

• Lead and manage a team of Sub-contractors for all addition and alteration (A&A) work
• Plan, organize, co-ordinate and implement A&A work timely and ensure compliance to all authority and client's requirement
• Liaise with sub-contractor and vendor for quotations and purchase orders
• Evaluate project requirements and generate feasible proposals for work completion
• Liaise with client's appointed officer on all issues related to the A&A and project work
• Preparation and submission of shop drawings, point schedule, materials, write-ups, and other necessary items for approval
• Track and manage project progress and submit progress claims
• Lead, coordinate, and execute testing & commissioning works for A&A works with proper documentation
• Conduct site surveys, attend meetings on-site, evaluate installation progress on-site
• To arrange and provide servicing & maintenance works for active sites

Requirement

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or any related discipline
• At least 1~3 years of working experience in construction or retrofit project in BMS/ACMV/Electrical/ELV
• Good knowledge of Building Services (BMS, ACMV or Electrical or ELV) and project management
• Proactive individual who can work independently
• Good interpersonal and Communication skills
• Able to multi-task and achieve deliverables on schedule
• Able to generate project reports via Word, Excel, Powerpoint
