Job Summary

This is a very visible and critical role in the company. This role requires to work along with interdisciplinary team of engineers to evaluate feasibility and promise of technologies of the future. Would be working very closely with electrical, electron optics, and product engineers on various mechanical design for Borries system development and integration (e.g. platform, stage, load lock, gun, column and etc).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in our electro-mechanical system architecture development, and document our system requirements on capabilities, performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Work on the detailed system design, development, integration, and verification to meet our requirements on capabilities, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Generate 3D models and 2D drawings based on industry standard.
• Work with vendors for DFM, fabrication and qualify the vendors.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team on DFM, generating assembly process, assembly fixtures and qualification procedures based on design intent.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering.

Job Requirements/ Special Skill sets

• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple internal teams and external partners.
• At least 3 years’ experience with SolidWorks
• Knowledge on Precision Machining, Sheetmetal processes.
• Knowledge on GD&T, stack-up tolerance analysis.
• Experience working on materials like stainless steel, copper, ceramics, aluminum, engineering plastics etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the procurement function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations. Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.

• Maintain system integrity of supplier’s info in the ERP system, such as items suppliers connect, purchasing agreements and supplier basic data like MOQ, order multiple, purchasers responsible and supplier maintenance.

• Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down, new programs and improvement opportunities or mitigate the risk.

• Create and review opportunities on alternative materials and or suppliers to meet the business unit objectives in procurement activities and deliver best values and business savings.

• Collaborating with our technology to understand our company needs as well as work with our existing/new suppliers to determine company strategic alignment.

• Understand the trend of raw material / feedstock related, update the information to commercial team, provide analysis on costs, new and cost savings activities. Develop strong partnership with suppliers.

• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers, provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost to achieve savings. Establish r/s with suppliers to leverage the needs in term on tight supply situation as well as to be ahead of the market requirement.

• Contribute and communicate the impact on Procurement activities to new business initiatives and projects. Involve in Global procurement project activities.

• Assess and evaluate supplier’s performance reviews, compiling data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.

• To audit supplier supply capability and quality standard when required. Maintain proper documentation in accordance with ISO procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Material Science or other relevant discipline

• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field.

• Manufacturing industry with procurement working experience.

• Possess very strong sourcing skills.- Chemical. Polymer related products

• Accountable team worker, proactive, problem solving and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication skills with all levels of organization and suppliers.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work productively and collaboratively with multi-functional teams to achieve business goals.

• Excel- pivot is a must- proficiency level

[Our client is looking for a Principal FA Engineer to perform failure analysis in root cause finding for improvement or issue investigation.]

Overview
Work with MEMS Research & Development, ASIC design team & Packaging team to perform failure analysis in root cause finding for improvement or issue investigation.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of failure analysis request from internal customers and external customers for customer returns, production/process rejects, and reliability/engineering evaluation failures.
• Advise and provide technical inputs to cross-functional teams on appropriate FA techniques to employ in order to establish failure mechanism. Dive issue to closure when required.
• Develop new FA techniques with third party FA vendors to enhance detection capability or productivity.
• Drive improvement activities such as robustness and device functionality optimization as well as cost reduction activities.
• Other ad-hoc activities assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Material Science or Electrical/Electronic), Physics or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in failure analysis of IC and/or MEMS at frontend and backend.
• Have excellent understanding and knowledge of physical and electrical FA techniques, including cross-section, TEM, EDX, SIMS, Obirch, EMMI, electrical fault isolation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices (CMOS, Bipolar, IGBT etc) are required
• Good understanding of semiconductor & MEMS device quality issues
• Strong leadership, communication skills & analytical mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team approach to problem-solving
• Self-driven, proactive and able to meet commitments
