Responsibilities:
- Create outline and detailed drawings to the required scale, in accordance with relevant authority or customer specifications.
- Draft preliminary drawings based on sales quotation requirements.
- Prepare single-line, termination, and arrangement drawings according to the scope of supply (JOP).
- Compile necessary documentation for submission to customers and class authorities for review.
- Provide engineering calculations as needed.
- Monitor the progress of engineering tasks to ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior drafters to ensure timely and accurate delivery of drafting work.
- Communicate with customers to address engineering issues when required.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by section manager or supervisor.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all statutory and legal requirements.
- Maintain organized records of work schedules and proper filing systems for documents (e.g., repair receipts, service reports, quotations, inspection reports).
- Assist in planning, tracking, and reporting work progress.
- Identify and highlight potential risks and issues throughout the project.
- Hold all necessary regulatory certifications, including but not limited to Shipyard Safety Induction, Work-at-Height training, and Confined Space training.
- Follow all safety regulations, including reporting incidents or near-misses.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of electrical or electronic systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 18001 standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software (2D/3D).
- Minimum qualification of ITE in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Communication, or Marine Engineering.
