The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?This is a consulting role that requires you to be able to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues on cross-functional product teams. You'll need strong communication skills, technical fluency, empathy, humility, and an appreciation for and understanding of lean startup, agile, and user-centered design values, principles, and practices.

As a software engineer, you will pair daily with client software engineers, coaching them in Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies, such as pair programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration and delivery. You will work with a team of product managers, designers, and engineers to enable your client team to deliver and iterate on high-quality software products that deliver user and business value.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Working with your client engineers to enable them in XP software development practices and/or application modernization practices

Pair programming with clients and other Omnissa engineers to build/modernize software based on the team’s backlog

Leading one or more teams through complex engineering efforts

Managing risk and uncertainty while moving the team forward

Teaching your client pairs how to do the above for themselves

Enabling client leadership to grow their own engineering practice

Contributing back to Omnissa engineering practice through mentorship, giving talks, and experience reports

· Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.

· Prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ authorities.

· Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliveries.

· Lead in preparing tender documentations.

Requirements:

· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).

· A minimum of 5 years of design experience.

· Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures

· Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills

· Have good knowledge of common structural design software.

· Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects (underground/basement/elevated structures, tunnel structures and MRT station structures)

· Good project management skills and strong analytical skills

· Able to work under pressure with good time management skill
