Job Responsibilities

• Display strong classroom delivery skills

• Effectively utilise teaching materials to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment

• Mark and grade students’ assignments with value-added feedback

• Perform required classroom administration responsibilities

• Provide weekly debriefs to parents after every lesson

• Foster good relationships with students’ parents through regular written and/or verbal feedback

• Work together with the customer service team to provide all stakeholders with a positive customer experience

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Up-to-date with latest MOE syllabus

• 2-3 years of teaching experience

• Passion for teaching and nurturing students

• Selected candidates will be required to undergo new teacher training

As a playgroup teacher, you will:

• Design and implement a play-inspired and inquiry driven education playgroup programme that uses a variety of engaging activities and instructional age-appropriate methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc), that is fostered by the children’s interests and needs, to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
• Assess the effectiveness of the lesson plans on a regular basis through discussions and feedback sessions with the team.
• Organise learning materials and resources.
• Assess student performance and progress
• Encourage social interactions between children and improve their self-esteem.
• Instil a sense of order and peace in the playroom and in the outside environment.
• Provide a stimulating and engaging outdoor space that allows the children to explore and develop in their natural curiosity and allows them to be challenged in their gross motor skills.

• Write reports for parents on each child's developmental progress, where required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Curriculum Writer, your primary focus will include the preparation, writing, proofreading and editing of TWC’s curriculum to be used in the classroom, as well as working on TWC’s other publications. Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you will work together with TWC’s Curriculum Team to ensure the smooth delivery and quality of TWC’s curriculum. You will primarily be responsible for our secondary school materials, but you may also be required to work on the primary school materials should the need arise,

Your job responsibilities include:

• Create and review high quality content for learning/teaching materials
• Edit content of curriculum
• Proofread written work
• Proofread and edit TWC’s publications
• Coordinate workflow within curriculum team and other relevant teams
• Other duties associated with the role and assigned by your line manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

1. Degree from a reputable university, preferably in the related fields of Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Communications.
2. Experience in teaching Secondary school levels will be an added advantage.
3. Familiarity with the Cambridge O Level English Language syllabus is required.
4. Qualifications in editorial work and/or English teaching are an added bonus.
5. Excellent academic track record, particularly in English, General Paper (GP), and/or English Literature at ‘O’ and/or ‘A’ levels.
6. Meticulous, high quality work standard.
7. Strong work ethic.
8. Ability to adhere to tight deadlines with strong organisational skills.
9. Familiar with using Microsoft Word for layout.

Work Hours and Location:

• Work Days: 5-day work week, Monday to Friday.
• Work Hours: 9am to 6pm.
• Work Location: TWC HQ, Guthrie House, Bukit Timah.

Roles and Responsibility (Student Care Teacher)

• Delivery and presentation of lesson content to children
• Supervision of primary school children (primary 1 to 6) to ensure completion of daily homework
• Ensure safety and timely transfer of children from school to student centre when/where required
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of children at all times
• Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and behaviour
• Fetching of students from nearby schools when/where required
• Administrative work (sales, collection of fees, and collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as delegated by Centre Head

• Requirements (Student Care Teacher):
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in education/student care/classroom experience, preferably at the primary level
• Preference given to candidates with Professional Certificate/NiTEC/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Linguistics/Languages, Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent
• Able to guide students in primary school subjects
• Possess excellent work ethic and professional integrity
