General Overview

Having recently closed our Series A investment with major financial institutions such as HSBC, Marketnode is now well positioned for it’s next growth phase and is looking for a Lead Engineer, QA to lead our overall QA strategy and implementation for all our products.

Key responsibilities:

QA Strategy & Planning:

• Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for both manual and automated testing across various fintech applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, and operations) to create test plans, define test cases, and ensure full test coverage.
• Set quality standards and best practices for the QA team and broader engineering organization.

Automation Leadership:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Drive the adoption of test automation in areas such as regression, integration, and performance/load/capacity testing.
• Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.

Test Execution & Reporting:

• Manage the execution of test plans, including functional, non-functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Oversee defect management, including tracking, reporting, and prioritizing issues in collaboration with development teams.
• Provide clear, concise, and actionable test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

• Mentor and guide QA engineers in best practices, automation techniques, and problem-solving approaches
• Work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure alignment between QA efforts and business goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.
  Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in QA and test automation, ensuring that Marketnode remains at the cutting edge of quality assurance.

Requirements

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering / software quality assurance, with 5+ in QA automation.
• 5+ year leading QA teams or projects in a high-paced, agile environment, preferably in fintech or a similar industry.

Technical Skills:

• Must have Strong knowledge of scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
• Expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
• Previous experience of testing blockchain based applications and can articulate the nuances of such,
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of testing RESTful APIs and working with tools like Postman or REST-Assured.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of QA engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A track record of driving quality improvements and process optimizations.
• Proven ability to work directly with customer / external stakeholders to facilitate industry-wide test scenarios

Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

This role is responsible for one of the front-end process modules in Office Printhead or PageWide Printbar manufacturing lines and required to apply subject matter knowledge to drive technical and operational excellence in the manufacturing processes. Expected also to work on problems of diverse complexity and scope.

May participate in project team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities

• Designs engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub- assemblies, and final assemblies, based on established engineering principles and in accordance with general specifications and requirements.
• Lead issue diagnosis and problem-solving, using a systematic problem solving approach.
• Work in a project team of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for moderately-complex products from new- product introduction through end of lifecycle.
• Delivers professionally written reports, and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal and external partners in outsourced manufacturing or development r regarding process and standards compliance, recording and reporting issues, and recommendations for problem resolution for manufacture of existing products.
• Represents the manufacturing engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other manufacturing related discipline
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in product/process engineering, or a related field or an advanced degree with 0-2 years of work experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Using engineering tools and software packages to design and automate manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Competent in adopting manufacturing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement etc.
• Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
• Using empirical analysis, modeling and methodologies to validate manufacturing process and tooling design and specifications.
• Proficient in English. Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas to stakeholders
• Competency in Industry 4.0 technologies/Digitalization/Data Analytics is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the development of new products and the assurance of current products that are robust, reliable, top quality, with delightful customer experience in product usage.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Lead Resident Engineer shall be in the discipline of Electrical, Instrumentation & Control in delivery of large scale power generation project. The Engineer shall have at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in delivery of large scale industrial/ utilities projects (e.g. waste, water, oil & gas, power) or relevant experience in delivering large solid waste management projects (e.g. WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste

treatment).

The duties shall include the following but not limited to:

• Work as owner’s engineer to lead the ICA project implementation at site.
• Assist Chief Resident Engineer in daily supervision and coordination duties for ICA discipline.
• Project delivery planning including time and manpower scheduling.
• Source and interview for Resident Engineers and Resident Technical Officers for ICA discipline
• Strong capability of specification capability for all ICA related specification. e.g. DCS / PLC system configuration, topology and controller, RIO engineering.
• Enforce Specifications, International Standards, Singapore Standards and good practices
• In depth of understanding for automation package for contract implementation of automation systems for WtE project.
• Contracts management of ICA discipline for the WtE project
• Review the EICA submittals from Contractors for Process like Waste Reception system,

• Review contract/ tender agreement and highlight the compliances or deviations of the terms & conditions and technical specifications
• Liaise with agencies, clients and manage sub-contractors
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans, quality standard procedure, safety requirements and in a timely manner
• Planning, scheduling and implementing project maintenance works
• Manage cost, work measurement and collection of performance data
• Ensure Project technical issues are monitored and resolved
