The Role
This is an excellent opportunity, for an experienced M&E RTO to represent Cundall on one of our prestigious projects .This will be a 2 years contract based role, subject to extension based on the demands of the project.
Reporting to the Resident Engineer/Project Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of daily site records, report preparation, drawings and documents. You will ensure that all site instructions are carried out accordingly, and issue further instructions and clarifications on design details when necessary.
You will manage the day to day inspections of construction works and ensure all M&E construction activities comply with the consultant’s specifications, local codes and regulatory requirements. You will also be required to supervise and enforce site quality control while coordinating with the client/main contractor/sub-contractor, and attend site meetings as required.
The Skills
Educated to diploma or degree level in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, with significant experience of both contractor and consultancy liaison, you will have gained a wealth of practical experience of site based mechanical engineering and issue management. You will be experienced in carrying out work inspection, making detailed site records and producing reports.
You are capable of producing and interpreting technical design solutions, specifications and safety documentation and have a solid understanding of building regulations and codes of practice. You will possess excellent time management skills and be able to demonstrate your ability to solve complex problems and meet project deadlines.
Must hold a valid BCA Registered Accredited Resident Technical Officer certification.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
