Roles and Responsibilities
· Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager
· Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.
· Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
· Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
· Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
· Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
· Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
· Maintain site records.
· Checking of Design Drawings prior to Site Construction.
· To act as a Site Supervisor appointed by the Qualified Person (QP) in accordance with the Building Control Act.
· To supervise Contractors’ works and check that the required standard of materials, workmanship and quality control of all construction works are satisfactorily achieved in accordance with the specification and drawings in compliance with the relevant Building Regulation.
· To report to the Project Development Team / Qualified Person (QP) and assist him in discharging all his duties.
· As a Resident Technical Officer, you are to be directed by and shall report to the S.O, S.O.’s Representative, QP or MOE Manager for all construction works. You shall also be responsible for all necessary liaison and coordination with the Contractor’s agents, other consultants, and relevant Authorities for the smooth execution of the works.
· To submit Weekly Site Report covering but not limited to the following:
o Weekly Manpower Record
o Weekly progress report
o Record of site memorandums
o Site Records of Architectural inspections and testing
o Site progress photos
Job Requirements
· Diploma from Polytechnic in relevant discipline or hold an equivalent qualification
· Registered with Building Control Authority (BCA) and Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (“JAC(IES and ACES)”)
· Minimum experience of 10 years local supervision as a resident technical officer for Civil and Structural works and must have experience in supervising Architectural and Civil & Structural works within the last 10 years.
· Be conversant in local legislation, regulations, and codes
· Competent in IT- word processing, excel, email, Power point for project progress update and presentation slides, maintaining proper record for claims
· Relevant experience in demolition works, precast RC works, bored piling works.
· Relevant experience in architectural building works, ID finishing and fit-out works and coordination, defects checking.
