RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

What you will do

• Own technical operations for systems that manage hundreds of thousands of CPU cores
• Build observability for new deployments to ensure robustness from day one, as well as mature deployments to identify and implement improvements
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based replacements for legacy bare-metal installations
• Dig into issues with block devices, file descriptors, and packet loss; lead real-time outage investigations and present postmortems to senior management

What you have

• Comfort in a programming language: we're primarily Python 3 and Go -- with some Scala and Erlang, interest in Rust -- but believe in the best tool for the job and care about analytical thinking more than specific syntax familiarity
• Tales of tcpdump and strace: our modern code leverages Jaeger/OpenTracing to ease debugging, but first-principles Linux systems and networking knowledge is a must
• Interest in SLOs/SLIs: continually executing an application's "typical user journey" to store health metrics in a time-series database is invaluable for us and has support from the C-suite
• Curiosity: no hesitation before consulting the source or ssh'ing to an unfamiliar machine (or a thousand) when documentation is insufficient or charts don't make sense; "if a human built this, a human can figure it out"
• Pragmatism: desire for long-term strategic ideals paired with awareness of when it's appropriate for immediate-term fixes to add tech debt

Overview for the role:

This Role reports into the OCSM and will form the focal point for customer queries and supply chain operations. Senior IT Support Executive

• Working hours: 8.30am to 6.00pm (Mon – Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Administer and configure infrastructure systems and applications (e.g. Active Directory Services, Data Centre, video conferencing, audio system, telephony, server storage, backup, etc.), network devices (Firewall, routers, VPN, internet proxy, wireless, etc.), desktop, mobile devices and other remote devices.
• Ensure systems are backed up automatically, recovery plans and disaster recovery plans and patches are carried out successfully and monitor the systems’ resources usage closely.
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met.
• Draft and update technical documentation such as administration & user guides.
• Provide technical support to both Local and Overseas branches’ users over the LAN and WAN without compromising security.
• Source for products/solutions and vendors/suppliers for required projects.
• Provide L1/L2 support and participate as a team lead or member in projects.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, OR/AND Certification in CCNA
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience
• Proficient in enterprise networking, including WAN, LAN, and VPN optimization implementation and support
• Skilled in administering Microsoft Server 2012 and later, Microsoft 365, and Google Suite products/services
• Familiar with internet architecture designs such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Firewall
• Familiar with devices like Alcatel PABX, FortiGate Devices, Cisco and Unifi Wireless AP Controller
• Strong knowledge of CyberRisk and CyberSecurity; familiarity with PDPA is highly preferred
