Job Description:

• Assist project manager in planning and execution of project plans at construction site
• Execute project plan and ensure works completed as per schedule and in accordance to contract specification and design drawing
• Ensure construction site fullfill authority's code of practice and comply with safety house rules.
• Handle correspondance job paperwork and submission
• Liaise with all parties involved in the project including local authorities, consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Attend site meetings and inspections, report regularly on progress and monitor schedule
• Prepare and monitor work schedules, project costing, procurement, and coordination with all partied involved to ensure work progress smoothly and completed within target time and budget
• Supervise and report progress of the work to Project Manager
• Ensuring project progress are on schedule and to meet the timeline given
• Make sure having the latest construction drawings on-site and work is constructed as per drawing given.
• Update drawing if there is any revision and to keep a updates copy in site office and head office
• Feedback to Project Manager on any issue encounter on site and proposed feasible solution.
• Any other adhoc duties assigned by Project Manager

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Plan, design, and coordinate civil engineering, infrastructural design works with contractors/project teams.
• Review / Develop design drawings and documents in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with other consultants for the discipline activities to achieve the overall project design objectives in the most efficient manner.
• Manage and communicate with internal/external project teams including relevant Authorities and relevant parties about design works and project schedule.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board).
• 2-5 years of relevant working experience. Relevant experience in construction planning and program coordination in LTA railway and road projects would be advantageous.
• Familiar with Codes of Practice, relevant regulations and submission requirements.
• Highly experienced and proficient in the use of Primavera P6 for project planning.
• Competent user of relevant design software such as Plaxis, Tekla Structure Designer, Tekla TEDDS, Autodesk-Robot Analysis.
• Independent, result-oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior positions.

Duties & responsibilities:

• To monitor and supervise sub contractors’ work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, material and samples
• To liaise and work with relevant authorities, sub-contractors or clients on shop drawings, materials and samples
• Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines (Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm System, Hosereel System, Wet/Dry riser system, Fire Hydrant System, Fire man intercom system)
• Knowledge in M&E and able to Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions
• Manage and execute project as per the schedule
• To attend meeting with contractors to address issues and update progress
• Study and reviewing of drawings, specifications for compliance
• Allocate work to supervisors and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.
• Plan and lead testing and commissioning of the fire protection systems.
• Follow up with site / authority inspections, defects rectifications of the fire protection works.
• Plan and prepare OMM, training, As-Builts drawings for handing over of completed fire protection systems to client.
• Follow up with maintenance of fire protection systems during DLP.

Education / Experience / Special Skills:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Building Services
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in MS office
• Good communication and written skills
• Experience in Water Mist system and/or foam system is added advantage
• Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills
