The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, proposing solutions, and addressing project-related queries for all wired and wireless networks. • We are looking for a Data Engineer with intermediate to advance knowledge of SQL, and intermediate Java/ Python and API skills to help us build and evolve our Data Management Platform.
• Your primary focus will be the writing complex SQL queries, fine tuning and development of all server-side backend data processing logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end / API requests on Linux environment.
• Writing complex SQL queries to serve new requirements for ETL, data analysis and debugging.
• Writing SQL functions, procedures as required based on the requirements
• Finetune or optimize queries to support the increasing volume of data.
• Writing reusable and efficient code in SQL, Python/Java.
• Communicate closely with all product owners, Business, and engineering teams to develop approaches for data platform architecture.
• Create microservices or API’s in java/Python that will invoke the created SQL functions or Procedures.

Key Requirements:

• 5 - 10+ years of experience having hands on experience in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries, functions and stored procedures.
• 2+ years of experience with hands on experience in writing, debugging Python / Java on Linux environment.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals - OOPS, Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Basic understand of regular Linux commands and usage.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools/languages as needed.

Knowledge of ETL’s and basics of Data warehousing, Data Masking

• Responsible for the overall management and implementation of projects
• Plan and prepare work schedules when the projectis awarded
• Coordinate and manage activities of the vendors and sub-contractors to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure documentation from vendors and sub-contractors are in-order i.e. Technical Submission, Material Submission, etc
• Constantly monitor the progress of projects and provide management and clients’ with regular progress status reports
• Conduct regular site walks and manage work schedules to ensure smooth progress and timely delivery of projects
• Anticipate issues/problems that could arise and provide solutions to solve them
• Prepare test scripts, schedule, and reports for Factory and Site testing and send an invitationto clients for all witness testing.
• Coordinate with consultant or clients for Integrated Services Test (IST) and prepare all vendors, sub-contractors and internal departments for the test.
• Work with CAD department to highlight any discrepancy in construction drawings and ensure accuracy in as-built drawings.
• Work with the Project Admin department to prepare OMM and handover certificates for assigned projects.
• Prepare system write-up for every discipline

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• 3-4 years’ experience in the M&E industry is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Possess knowledge in project management tools, solutions, andtechniques are highly desirable.
• Possess safety awareness at all time
• Familiar with Authority Requirement and Code of Practice is preferable

Provide support to Facilities Manager in Facility Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance work.

• Liaise with customer engineering department to ensure company procedures and quality guidelines are followed.
• Review “Events and Actions” on site and implement remedial actions where needed
• Manage contractors work on site to ensure adherence to procedures
• To be involved and carry out planning, execution and updates for all daily work including routine report submission.
• To be involved in co-ordination and liaison on contractor works, which includes:
• Power Diversion,
• System power up and down,
• System roll in and out,
• Power tracing,
• Equipment data logging and encompassing all other minor works which contribute to the well-being of the Data Centre or Site.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (or related engineering field) and above.
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• At least 3 year experience of operating in and fitting our Data Centre Facilities is an advantage but not mandatory
• Able to work on odd hours as and when required
• License Electric Worker is an advantage but not mandatory
• Possess good practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical work
• Possess strong understanding of large-scale facility electrical infrastructure system
• Good written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently and good team orientation.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be aligned and act in accordance to SMRT's Vision, Mission, Service Standard and Core Values.

2. Ensure good understanding, knowledge and skills needed for all maintenance activities and provide support for staff training.

3. Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officer(s) to perform preventive, corrective, overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering analysis, investigation or any assigned maintenance activities on all rolling stocks, depot and workshop equipment.

4. Assist to plan and coordinate staff deployment and shift roster to optimise resources utilisation.

5. Verify and ensure all tasks executed by the team are in accordance to latest Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures, and to ensure personal and peers’ safety at all times.

6. Ensure spares, tools and equipment used are in good condition and calibrated if necessary.

7. Perform train shunting activities and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles and maintenance equipment to support maintenance activities of the group.

8. Verify and ensure work records done by the team are updated factually, accurately and timely on Work Records Form and on the Maintenance Management System

9. Report immediately any abnormalities or practices observed that are not in accordance to Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures.

10. Adopt KAIZEN methodology (5M, 5S & 5W) to eliminate 8 Wastes and improve Productivity and Value of work performed.

11. Provide support to staff, contractors or any other personnel who are required to perform work on depot and all rolling stocks.

12. To support the group during incidents, accidents and emergencies.

13. Ensure excellent housekeeping are maintained within all work areas.

14. Maintain a high level of work discipline and standards.

15. Perform any other task as assigned.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
• Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
• Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
• Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
• Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
• Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.

Site Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or similar.
• A driver's license.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Additional certificates or licenses may be required.
• Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
• Great leadership and organizational skills.
• Superb project management skills.
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
