This incumbent will be working in Centre for Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) and reports to the Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Business Partnering

· Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to key stakeholders

· Collaborate with internal/external auditors, policy holders, OFIN, grantors, shared services personnel and stakeholders from various schools and colleges

· Track, consolidate and review financials from multiple units in order to accurately report university wide KPIs on monthly and quarterly basis

Finance Operations

· Lead and oversee the finance team, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with payment and collection policies

· Work with grantor, shared services team, OFIN to facilitate grant claims

· Maintain accurate journal entries and allocations. Reconcile accounts and provide analysis for the organisation’s financial transactions

· Work with finance share services to ensure revenue billings and payments of invoices are promptly processed and accurately recorded

· Review revenue and profit sharing methodologies prior to processing payments to internal and external stakeholders

Budgeting

· Manage the annual budgeting exercise and mid-year budget

· Handle budget-related matters such as appeals and virement within the budget constraints

Others

· Work closely with the Finance Business Partner on strategic business projects

The Analyst of the Interest Rate Derivative (IRD) Business Control team will be expected to perform the following roles and responsibilities:

Perform the following Daily deliverables:

1. Daily PL report production and PL decomposition

2. Provide commentary on significant PL drivers and relating it to the business strategies of the desks

3. Monitoring of New Deals, Late Deals and Market Operations

4. Monitoring checks for transactions done at Off Market rates and arrive at justifications/reasons for entering these transactions

5. Exceptions monitoring on Reported PL vs Trader Estimates and breaches on threshold limits for unexplained PL attributions

Perform the following Monthly routine tasks:

6. Reconciliation of PL between Management reporting vs General Ledger

7. GLAO certification on Balance Sheet accounts

8. Room wide & Desk level Reserves computation

9. Significant MTD PL drivers

10. Reporting of Key Risk and Performance Indicators for the desks

Perform the following Ad-Hoc & Projects tasks:

11. Streamline workflows to enhance operational efficiency within the team

12. Review control processes for gaps

13. To be proficient in handling ad-hoc queries from Front Office/RMG/TMO/Finance

14. To assist in responding to internal and external audit requests for the desks

Requirements:

1. Degree holder in Accountancy or Business or Finance is preferred.

2. Knowledge of treasury products, derivatives and options is preferred.

3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel

4. Strong team player

5. Strong control awareness and inquisitive mindset

6. Ability to relate product control processes with the business strategies and activities of the desks

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate and timely entries.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Conduct regular physical audits of fixed assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Fixed Asset Management: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies for fixed asset management.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.

You will be the SAP FICO Global Process Owner for the S/4Hana implementation project collaborating with various cross-functional teams. You will partner with market finance leads in streamlining, standardising and harmonizing of proccesses across different regions. You will maintain the Group's blueprint of the global SAP FICO template and be the go-to person post go-live on any change requests and trainings. You will be proactive in driving continuous improvements/upgrades as well as integration of new businesses.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should be Accounting & Finance Degree qualified with more than 6 years in managing SAP FICO projects and driving continues process improvement projects in Finance. Candidates from consultancy firm/in-house roles are open to apply. SAP S/4 Hana certification will be a great plus. You possess strong communication and stakeholders management abilities and influencing skills to work with senior management team as well as operational stakeholders.
