Monday – Friday 9am-6pm

Job Description:

Assisting the Investment Manager in the following activities:

Investments :
• Tracking of final maturity (including interest payments) of various investment products such as Bonds, Structured Deposits & FDs, and interest cost for leveraged products.
• Preparation of fund transfer/ FD creation letters and co-ordination with Banks for transfer of funds
• Opening/closing of Investment bank accounts at various locations

Banking :
• Co-coordinating with Bank for renewal of Credit facilities / other banking matters
• Liaising with banks for Opening/closing bank accounts of Sunrise & Co (including group Companies) and execution of documentation for credit facilities.
• Preparation and Reconciliation of the Bank's outstanding position at the group level on a monthly basis.
• Tracking of FX Position based on reports submitted by KL, Indonesia & India
• Set up online Internet Banking

Insurance:
• racking of all insurance policies ( General, Medical , Vehicles, Road tax and properties), coordinating with Insurance agents and timely renewals of Insurance policies

Others:
• Co-ordination with Regional offices for execution of documents at head office
• Maintenance of Property records including liaison with local service provider for upkeep of overseas properties
• Maintenance of Company Records including Shareholding pattern, List of Directors, Share certificates and other documents relating to the group Companies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field
• Candidates with prior experience in handling Bank matters will be preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience
• Must be proficient in MS Excel

Job Duties

School Fees Collection

• To update and maintain the school enrolment system
• To prepare Interbank Direct Credit Giro collection
• To monitor and follow-up on the outstanding receivables
• To coordinate with the Accounts Payable team on any refunds

Receipts

• To oversee and monitor collections from staff, parents, students etc
• To prepare bank-in slips for banking
• To enter receipts into the SAGE accounting system
• To file and record receipt vouchers

Reports

• To prepare periodic reports to the Ministry of Education
• To reconcile all fees scheme subsidies
• To prepare monthly Declaration of GEBiz Report
• To prepare reports for monthly and yearly closing
• To perform periodic update of the department’s policies and procedures
• Any other adhoc duties assigned by Reporting Officer

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Experience in a school setting is an advantage
• Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Excel
• Good command of oral and written English
• Team player and able to work under pressure
• Immediate availability preferred

• Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain high standards of financial integrity.

Consolidation Leadership:

• Oversee the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data across the region.
• Collaborate with finance teams in different entities to streamline consolidation procedures.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop a regional finance team, providing guidance and support for professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role within the distribution industry.
• ERP Implementation experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office suite especially MS Excel (Pivot, V-Lookup) and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in ERP system ie Navision/Business Central.
• Well organized, meticulous, analytical and can work independently.
