Position Objective

Cognita Asia Holdings Pte Ltd is part of Cognita Group and we are looking for a Finance Manager to be part of our Finance team. Our ideal colleague will have a mix of Accounting, Audit, and Tax experience.

This role supports Asia in financial and fiscal close and audit processes, ensuring compliance with internal reporting requirements. It is directly responsible for the full aspect of finance and accounting operations of Cognita Asia Regional Entities. The incumbent will be the subject matter expert on Singapore Tax, IFRS and Cognita Group accounting policies. As such, will support Group and Region with implementation and compliance of new policies, process controls, and tax reviews across Asia schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Financial Controller and CFO in delivering Asia’s financial goals
• Lead accounting and reporting process for the region to meet internal and external requirements
• Coordinate, communicate, collaborate with Head Office, Regional Office and Schools on reporting timelines and other deliverables

Accounting / Financial Reporting / Process Improvements

• Ensure accounting records and statutory reporting are accurate, in compliance with Group and Statutory Accounting policies. Provide technical Accounting advice in accordance to IFRS as needed.
• Lead close process and review of Asia schools’ Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet results to drive timely close
• Promote compliance, process efficiency and implementation of best practices (including use of technology) across schools in Asia
• Co-ordinate with Group HQ, Region and schools to complete month, quarter and year-end close, audit and tax
• Provide critical business information to management by keeping updated with changes in accounting and tax regulatory changes

Budget/Forecast/Management Reporting/Financial Reporting & Analysis for Asia Regional Entities

• Collaborate with Finance and Operation teams to support financial performance and delivery of KPI
• Co-ordinate with Regional Stakeholders and schools to update monthly forecast and yearly budget
• Present financial results and outlook to Region
• Create and drive use of standard dashboards and reporting decks across Asia

Taxation

• Prepare corporate income tax computations, GST filing and related matters for Asia Regional Entities
• Assist Singapore schools with year-end tax review, filing and other tax related matters
• Review Asia schools’ submission of tax calculations for year-end internal reporting

Operations / Business Partnering / Finance Lead

• Partner with Head of Camp Asia as Finance Lead to deliver business goals & targets, drive operational and finance process excellence

Regional projects and initiatives

• Contribute to projects by providing finance expertise

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to lead and influence small groups within and across functions
• Able to manage stakeholder requirements and prioritize outcomes to meet datelines
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements, including tax legislation
• Experience in financial reporting and scorecard creation, use

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint

• Collaborate in documenting, streamlining, and maintaining the Shopee's business logic for enhanced operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any other relevant field
• At least 2 years of working experience in audit or accounting-related roles

The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager in various financial functions, including accounts management, financial reporting, and analysis. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

Record Accounts Payable

· Record vendor invoices in system

· Process payments

Record Accounts Receivable

· Process billing and recording in system

· Record receipts in system

· Support to follow up on overdue receipts

General Accounting/ Close process

· Manage accruals, prepayments, recoverable accounts

· Prepare monthly balance sheet, bank reconciliations, follow up on outstanding items

· Support preparation of financial reports

· Support preparation of quarterly GST reports

Fixed Assets process

· Capitalise fixed assets in system

· Run depreciation

· Support to year-end audit preparation.

· Support ad-hoc Finance/Accounting process improvement process or any finance or accounting related ad-hoc projects

· Prepare financial statement for XBRL reporting and submission.

Qualifications

· Diploma in Finance, or related qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following areas but not limited to:

Leasing Business Planning & Control Executive

Leasing Business Performance Review:

• Monthly review of Leasing business performance including credit and collections and
  profitability analysis.
• Proactive Report and proposal reginal lease performance and activities.
• Governance and control of regional leasing deal.
• To facilitate timely reporting for management review.

Support and development for leasing system in new ERP

Lease Governance and control:

• Ensure compliance with regional Leasing, credit and accounting policy
• Provide training and instruction to Opcos member.
• Perform periodic audit on transactions.

ISMS / PIMS Internal Audit:

• Leading ISMS/PIMS Internal Audit as Finance team's PIC

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• At least 5 year experience in Finance or FP&A
• Degree in Accountancy or business, ACCA
• Good communication skill with team and regional experience is required.
• Experience in finance department and closing and reporting operation.
• Good skill in Ms Excel required and power platform experience is desirable.
• Experience in reviewing lease contract and credit & collections are advantages

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Admin and Finance Executive supports the overall operations of Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre (DRTC) by providing administrative assistance and effective financial system. By collaborating with the different DRTC Departments and HCSA Corporate Department, she ensures smooth day-to-day operation of DRTC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration

1. Word processing, minute taking, photocopying, scanning, document posting, etc

2. Lead office supply management and inventory controls

3. Maintain proper records and filing of documents for audit by MSF and external auditor

4. Support and provide administrative assistance to the different DRTC Department

5. Other ad hoc admin duties assigned from time to time

Finance

1. Process petty cash claims ensuring that payments are timely and accurately reimbursed

2. Settle DRTC bills, invoices, etc

3. Banking in of cash receipts/Encashing of DRTC cash float cheque

4. Maintain proper accounting records for audit purpose

5. Attend to external auditors during statutory audit

6. Submit timely reports

7. Other ad hoc financial responsibilities

8. Process ad hoc payments for suppliers, contractors, part-timers, volunteers’ other allowances

Office Management

1. Greet guests/visitors to DRTC

2. Share responsibility for maintaining a tidy and appropriately maintained office

3. Perform office communication as part of managing DRTC Calendar

4. Manage and maintain equipment and office supplies, room booking system, etc

Meetings

1. Organise and lead office meeting.

2. Attend and participate in admin and staff meetings.

3. Attend HCSA-wide meeting and other required meetings.

4. Participate in special projects/programmes and committees.

Others

1. Perform additional duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by Supervisor/Head of Home.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education And Experience

· Minimum degree in related field of study is preferred but not required.

· 2 years’ experience working in residential setting is an advantage.

Job Description

The Billing & Accounts officer has the responsibility for managing day to day accounts related activity and more importantly putting in a process to manage customer billing to ensure timely billing and collections. The candidate should have some experience in managing billing for SAAS solutions and lease subscriptions.
