The Company

Our client is a large MNC within the shipping industry, with a history of more than 100 years. They are currently looking to hire a Finance Operations Analyst to join them.

The Role

The successful incumbent will work closely with the finance team and will be responsible for finance, operations and admin activities. Tasks include analysis of terminal and port costs, reconciliation, variance and trend analysis, cost control, AP, AR as well as month end closing. There will be calculation of terminal costs, resolving discrepancies, reporting, liaison with treasury team on banker’s guarantee, issuance of PO, processing of invoices, costs recovery, posting of journals, accruals, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.

To be successful in this role, you should possess minimum qualification of a Diploma in Finance and Accounting, well versed in accounting concepts and bring along with you 1-2 years of accounting experience. Singlife is looking for a IFRS 17 Finance Assistant Vice President. The role will play an important role in the Finance function to help improve and ensure timely and accurate IFRS17 financial reporting by preparing actual cash flow data, maintaining configuration files for ETL processes, and preparing thorough analyses and reconciliations. The role will also be involved in identifying and implementing process enhancements and IFRS17 related system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely IFRS17 financial data through ETL processes, including maintaining configuration files and collaborating with IT team.
• Prepare and review detailed reconciliations and analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Collaborate with actuarial team to prepare and interpret analyses of IFRS17 results, including variance analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the IFRS17 finance function, contributing to enhanced stability and efficiency in the reporting processes.

Requirements

Experience

• 6-10 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit within the insurance industry.

Main Purpose of Job

The Role

To assist in the development, performance and maintenance of the financial activities of the organisation's Funds & Portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Fund & Portfolio Finance

· Prepare accurate and timely reports for

o quarterly Trust accounts

o quarterly Singapore VCC entities accounts

o quarterly investors’ report

o monthly asset performance metrics

o monitoring of debtors ageing and cashflow planning

· Document functional and technical requirements for the new software, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
