• Oversee Costing, Fixed Assets Management, Inventory Control, and Gross Margin Analysis for an overseas legal entity, managing financial accounting, reporting, tax, and budget matters
• Conduct product costing, cost analysis, and month-end closing activities
• Handle year-end tasks, including inventory stocktake, updating SAP activity rates, budgeting, and coordinating statutory financial statement audits
• Prepare cost-related documents and liaise with Customs on Free Trade Agreement matters
• Conduct product cost simulations and provide cost information for decision-making
• Safeguard company assets, optimize inventory levels, and review Sales and Margin monthly
• Enhance freight cost reporting and participate in Continuous Improvement Programs
• Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned

The Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy
• 3-5 years of Costing experience in Manufacturing
• Preferably familiar with SAP or equivalent ERP system & MS Excel
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• A team player and with good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and maintain petty cash & bank balances
• Reconcile daily sales with payment gateway platform
• Ensure monthly settlement of sellers' accounts for sales are reconciled
• Reconcile and maintain inventory records on a timely basis
• Ensuring suppliers' invoices are keyed correctly into the accounting system on a timely basis
• Check and process staff claims in accordance with company policy
• Prepare monthly schedules
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
• Perform accurate inputs of financial data into relevant spreadsheets and work with manual finance operations and processes
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance or Business
• Have full-set accounting experience (preferred)
• Have experience in GST quarterly submission
• Are technically proficient with web applications and MS Office (e.g. Excel) and have working knowledge of Xero accounting
• Are strong in basic accounting principles
• Are strong in data analysis / data management, with keen attention to detail

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will:

• Manage a team of 2 headcounts, be responsible for full spectrum matters, manage finance deliverables for all markets outside of China
• Strong business partner to internal stakeholders, present financial insights to C-Suite leaders
• Perform cashflow management, maximise working capital gains in entities
• Collaborate with Supply Chain team to advise financial impact of operational decisions, identify opportunities for cost savings
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, drive financial performance across various business units
• Set up new ERP system and implement internal controls, sure strong governance
• Partner with external stakeholders e.g. Tax Consultants to ensure effective tax planning across the region

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Accountancy & Finance, qualified CA, CPA, ACCA with at least 8 years of working experience
• Foundation gained with a Big 4 combined with commercial experience managing a regional portfolio
• Industry experience working with Pharmaceutical, FMCG, strong business to supply chain function
• Prior supervisory experience leading a team, comfortable setting up processes and policies from scratch
• Proficiency in Oracle ERP will be advantageous
• Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin, act as a strong business partner to Global HQ based in China
