What will I be doing?
As the Senior Manager, Food & Beverage Operations – South-East Asia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department.

2. Provide supervision to subordinates.

3. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarterly/half-yearly and full year closing to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

4. Be responsible for group consolidation and analysis on consolidated numbers.

5. Review group and subsidiary financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable corporate and statutory reporting requirements.

6. Prepare SGX announcements and deliverables to the board committees.

7. Prepare the group annual report and coordinate with external auditors on issues.

8. Coordinate and review in the preparation of group annual budget and forecast.

9. Review tax computations of the group and its subsidiaries and coordinate with tax agent.

10. Assist in coordination with external auditor, internal auditor, corporate secretary, tax agent and other consultants as and when necessary.

11. Establish, review and improve accounting policies and internal controls.

12. Undertake Digital Transformation project and corporate actions as and when necessary.

13. To assist in the setting up of international operations and oversee the financial functions of present and new overseas operations.

14. To assist in the up of policies and procedures; co-ordinate the activities of the Group’s accounting, finance, MIS and tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to NEL Power Supply system and equipment
• Meeting operational targets for availability and reliability of Power Supply
• Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and in compliance with legislative requirements
• Procure all necessary tools, spares and services pertaining to the operation of the system
• Plan and implement a cost effective and comprehensive maintenance program
• Prepare and review maintenance contracts. Certify outsourced maintenance contractor’s work, invoices, purchase orders and variation orders
• Develop and maintain Work Instructions in accordance with approved documented procedures
• Ensure safe work and access for Mainline and Depot maintenance activities
• Lead in Failure Review and Corrective Action implementation
• Responsible for the management of staff including participation in selection, discipline and performance review processes
• Responsible for the formulation of asset management plans, preparation of associated budgets and asset performance
• Participate in testing and commission of equipment
• Implement and maintain Quality Management System
• Recruit, develop and supervise Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technicians
• Undertake tasks and projects as assigned by the HOD

Requirements:

• Degree/Master in Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years' working experience in HV and LV environment preferably within the rail transportation industry
• Electrical Power System background
• Preferably EMA Licensed Electrical Worker (Engineer/Technician grade)
• Possess a positive attitude, mature, highly initiative, with strong leadership qualities and able to relate well with individuals at all levels and function effectively
