This role will manage the finance, accounting and other areas as highlighted below and report into the regional finance director based in Singapore.

You should have strong controllership, fp&a business partnering and people management experience.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Oversee the financial management, accounting and reporting in the country, including implementation of finance frameworks, policies and processes in accordance with local/international accounting standards.

• Drive continuous improvements in accounting, reporting and internal control processes/systems to improve value given to stakeholders.
• Partner with and support the Country Senior Leadership Team on all matters related to finance, corporate initiatives/projects and cross-Business Unit activities.
• Present the consolidated financial reports and analyses to key stakeholders for decision making, with recommendations on accounting treatment.
• Manage annual target setting process within local business.

About the role:

The finance manager is the CEO’s partner in controlling the business’ financial health. They approach problem-solving in a constructive way and find innovative solutions for the CEO and leadership team. This also includes an updated FY forecast by P&L, cash flow and Balance Sheet, and details of other projects underway (i.e. audit, tax return, Brazil status) and be produced within 5 days from the end of the month (or faster).

This should be formally closed each month with no changes in previous periods – i.e. any changes relating to the past are changed in the current period to avoid losing track of these. This must be accompanied each month with a meeting to run through the key points for the month and the future.

• SaaS-based Reporting

This is tied to and forms part of the Monthly Reporting Package. It should be accompanied by relevant analysis, such as if we adopt a full IFRS (audit) compliant approach for monthly reporting and what other statistics and measures you suggest we provide investors.

This includes accounting, bookkeeping tasks, managing SKUs and AR and AP in partnership with other team members, managing the audit process, budgeting and budgeting controls.

The selected candidate will report to the Vice President and will be responsible for:

Responsibilites:

To ensure financial reporting adheres to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, the bank's accounting policies and procedures, and compliance with local statutory & MAS regulatory requirements.

• To oversee the daily accounting operation, including daily GL management, review NOSTRO accounts reconciliation, OPEX processes etc.

• To review and enhance workflows and internal controls, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.

• To liaise with the branch’s internal and external auditors on audit matters.

• To manage the Accounts Team in ensuring timely delivery of management reporting, local financial and regulatory reporting and statistical surveys.

• To prepare tax computation schedules, check tax computations, to liaise with tax agents on Branch’s corporate tax, to attend queries raised by the Comptroller of Income Tax.

• Familiar with MAS reporting, to review MAS reports prepared by the team, draft and respond to the queries and questions raised by MAS.

• To check daily management reports and conduct in-depth financial analysis on the branch's financial performance.

• To participate in systems development and enhancement projects where applicable.

Requirements:

· Possess a Degree in Finance & Accounting preferably with CA qualification.

· Minimum 6 years financial and accounting experience in banks.
