RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate Accurate Invoices: Prepare and issue invoices to customers, ensuring that the charges are correct and reflect the agreed-upon terms and services.

Our client, a higher education institute, is currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join them as an Assistant Finance Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to manage financial aid disbursement e.g. student loans, CPF, Mendaki, scholarship rolled out by schools / government agencies / funding agencies
• Oversee budget for financial Aid disbursement and sponsorship management
• Monitor debt collection for student loans and sponsorship
• In-charge of government agencies and funding agency claim’s submission
• Liaise with banks and government agencies on financial aid schemes
• Ensure all disbursement transactions are prompt and accurate and that it comply with relevant policies and guidelines
• Ensure efficient processes, systems and adequate governance and controls are in place
• Oversee monthly, half-yearly and annual variance reporting
• Manage monthly balance sheet review reconciliations, year-end financial reporting, audit schedules etc.
• Communicates with funding agencies to resolve queries/address requests and concerns
• Assist in internal and external auditors’ queries

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accountancy
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (eg. Excel) and IT savvy with using different systems
• Knowledge of Power Query, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an added advantage
