Act as the primary finance business partner to provide strategic commercial financial analysis and insight, supporting the Company’s manufacturing and trading business (global export markets) commercial finance leadership team and relevant business leaders, to deliver business strategy and revenue and profit targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver high quality financial analysis for product category, brand, and market using data to deliver commercially relevant insights. Perform advanced financial modelling, profitability analysis, monitoring business issues and impact to the bottom line, as well as analysing proposed introduction of new products and actionable insights is expected.

• Collaborate with business directors to track business goals, prospects/pipelines and client profitability, and provide timely and relevant reporting and insights in these areas to the business.

• Performing monthly variance analysis of financial results, review with commercial business leaders to ensure understanding of the drivers and corresponding risk, controlling of selling and distribution expenses.

• Prepare and manage of budgets and rolling forecasts (sales and selling expenses) and management of business reviews of actuals vs forecasts

• Managing customers contracts, liaison with Legal Counsel and Business Directors, and also managing contracted sales targets, incentive programs

• Ensure overseas sales entities (and Singapore market) are managing at right level of operation controls and governance requirements.

• Leveraging BI tools (Tableau) to provide visibility of business performance and for better risk controls.

Desired Skills / Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or other related area.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established Luxury Retail Group with growing presence in Asia. Due to evolving business needs, we are actively recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to look after the SEA region.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager directly, you will be the key point of contact for financial reporting in SEA and work closely with the regional departments and the local accounting team. The key responsibilities include driving GL review, accruals planning, procure to pay analysis, tax reporting, reviewing monthly, quarterly and yearly actual reporting in the group consolidation tool. You will also play a supporting role on cost center reporting, operating expenses and capital expenditure in order to support the budget process and opex variance analysis. Other key responsibilities include being the key point of contract to the outsourced service providers and attend to queries with solutions. Ensure appropriate work processes are adopted in adhering to strict reporting datelines.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy with minimum 8 years of relevant experience ideally within Retail or FMCG industry. It is essential to have strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations and familiarity with SAP. We are seeking an analytical and meticulous Assistant Finance Manager with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Director to oversee all aspects of Finance Functions, such as Financial Accounting, Regulatory requirements, Operational and Management Reporting and Financial Controls

• Manage month-end Closing and Financial Reporting, both at Group and Local level

• Perform high level closings controls to make sure Financials are accurate, consistent and in line with expectations

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly Financial, and Management Reports

• Perform analytical reviews and prepare timely dashboard on KPIs to Management Team

• Prepare the Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts and Budget, and monitor deviations vs. Budget

• Drive, analyse and forecast P&L based on updated business conditions

• Oversee the compliance of all accounting policies and ensure internal controls are aligned with the requirement of the Group and other Statutory or Governing bodies

• Support the Finance Director on Operational topics such as business continuity, procurement, and risk management

• Manage and coordinate processes with the offshore Shared Services Centre

• Drive process improvements and improve operational efficiency

• participate in ad hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional accounting qualification

• Knowledge of Credit Insurance market specificity an advantage

• 7 to 10 years of Insurance accounting and Reporting experience with strong knowledge of IFRS

• Good business acumen

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP an advantage

• Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Finance Manager
