Responsibilities of Regional Finance Manager:

• Ovesee company's accounting and implement strategic Finance department's strategy
• Notify the company’s operational team of unusual accounting fluctuations
• Monitor/Review the company’s account reconciliations
• Monitor the company’s annual audit process
• Handle company matters related to Goods and Services Tax (GST) and taxation
• Evaluate and submit the necessary GST returns on a quarterly basis
• Establish/review internal controls in the Finance team, implementing new controls if required
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies, ensuring compliance and timely filing for all taxes.
• Oversee treasury activities, including cash management and funding options, to optimize costs.
• Analyze financial transactions for risk management and provide investment advice, including creating investment frameworks and conducting due diligence.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy or other equivalent qualifications/certifications
• Minimum 10 years of relevant MNC working experience, with regional exposure
• Experience in Taxation is required
• Prior exposure in treasury is an added advantage

The Role:

The Assistant Finance Manager will assist in all accounting functions of the Group including effective day to day accounting operations, financial closing and statutory reporting and variance analysis.

Job Responsibilities

• Handles full set of accounts and ensures timely closing (month-end and year-end)
• Oversee subsidiaries’ accounts and month-end closing process to ensure timely submission of financial reports
• Review monthly financial statements and group financial reporting
• Review quarterly GST reports and reconciliation
• Review accounts receivables invoices & accounts receivables outstanding list and ensure staff follow up closely on the status.
• Review and ensure accounts payable payments, invoices and expenses claims are accurate and duly approved by relevant Business Units
• Participate in the budgeting preparation, management and monitoring processes.
• Ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies and statutory/regulatory/tax requirements.
• Ensure that policies and procedures and limits of authority are adhered to and financial controls are in place
• Liaise with internal auditors, external auditors and tax agents
• Assist in preparation of schedules and reports as required
• Provide ad-hoc financial projection that are assigned by FM/FD
• Handle petty cash and process expense claims
• Manage the intercompany reconciliation
• To undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Handle any other ad hoc duties as directed by management

Preferred Attributes:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in finance operations
• Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative with the ability to identify trends in data.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work on tight timelines.
• Strong attention to detail, organized, ensuring consistent, quality output.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Strong team spirit and interact tactfully across all levels.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.Proficient in accounting and office productivity softwares such as Xero, Zoho, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Able to work independently and well with team members.
• Group consolidation experience would be an advantage

Job Description

• Monthly analysis of non-costing / inventory related P/L variances (Actual vs. Budget and/or Latest Estimate Forecast).
• Prepare post month-end close analysis on statistical recharges and propose adjustments
• Review intercompany Allocation and Statistical recharges to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare/ submit Profit and Loss Review reports on a quarterly basis.
• Closely monitor other key accruals
• Lead continuous improvements for Budget; Forecast and Spending eg. Ariba two-way match PO accruals Optimisation
• Improve the site awareness (financial literacy training) on Budgeting, Spending and Ariba (linked to two-way-match PO accruals) to improve overall Planning efficiency
• Serve as alternate main point of contact for financial audits
• Support internal audit (mainly on SAP PC control optimisations assigned on Financial Reporting)
• Handling external audit on Spending Variance and P&L

Requirements

• Min Degree in Accountancy / ACCA
• Prior experience with System Application & Products Business Intelligence (BI) and Hyperion Planning financial systems preferred
