About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Data and Artificial Intelligence Platforms (DAIP) team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage data pipelines to collect, clean, and harmonize data.
• Monitor databases and ETL systems, ensuring performance, capacity, and uptime.
• Create reusable data models based on end-user needs.
• Design secure data access mechanisms and implement data quality checks.
• Maintain data catalogs, enforce governance policies, and improve infrastructure.
• Research and adopt new technologies to enhance data systems.
• Protect sensitive data through security best practices.

Senior engineers will additionally:

• Establish best practices and mentor team members.
• Assist with recruitment.

Skills & Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Scala, with a passion for software engineering.

Job Description:

• Carry out electrical system studies for MV / LV Equipment like Power and Distribution Transformers and switchgears.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, international codes & standards and Industry accepted electrical engineering software’s.
• Prepare electrical job specifications and datasheets as per customer / tender requirements.
• Execution of assigned site work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, IEC codes and standards.
• Perform activities such as – prepare quotations and technical bid evaluations as per relevant technical requirements.
• Review vendor drawings and documentation as per relevant Technical Practices.
• Manage sub-con to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years' relevant experience in handling both HV and LV, preferably in Construction environment
• Prior experience in project and maintenance in the Transformers, switchgears and LV switch boards, DC Traction systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read engineering drawings
• Team player with strong leadership, interpersonal, planning and organizing skills
• Self-motivated and resourceful individual
• Class -3 driving licence is preferable

1. Liaise with consultants, clients and subcontractors on the progress of M&E works.
2. Supervise and ensure works are in accordance to the contract drawings and specifications.
3. Prepare method statement, shop drawings, installation / T&C check sheets, work progress report and other relevant documents for M&E related works with project teams.
4. Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants on preparation and submission of shop drawings.
5. Coordinate / prepare technical submissions with suppliers / subcontractors.
6. Assist the Project Manager on all M&E matters including preparing M&E Master Construction and T&C Schedule.
7. Assist Project Manager to negotiate / procure materials, equipment and labour in accordance to (or below) the allocated approved budget.
8. Hold technical discussions with various stakeholders to resolve technical / site issues.
9. Liaise and work with relevant authorities / subcontractors / clients on shop drawings / equipment submissions, inspections, testing requirements and commissioning.
