The Databricks Engineer is responsible for migrating from as-is on-perm data warehouse to Databricks and should have sound knowledge of Databricks. Requires good understanding of data architecture, cloud solutions, building and maintaining a robust, integrated, and governed data infrastructure. The role involves extracting valuable insights from data while ensuring data security, compliance, and high-quality data management.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end data migration project from on-premises environments to Databricks with minimal downtime.
• Work with architects and lead solution design to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Hands on experience in Databricks to design and implement the solution on AWS.

9. Conduct official tests on the switchboards which require witnessing by surveyors or consultants and also maybe with the presence of customers.

10. Assist the Manager in quality responsibilities and achieving quality objectives.

11. Maintain good housekeeping in the QA Department.

12. Observe and adhere to safety rules during the performance of every task.

13. Ensure the use of calibrated instrument for inspection.

14. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of Product Non-Conformity.

15. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problem detected.

16. Verify the implementation of solutions.

17. Control further processing and delivery of Non-Conforming products until the deficiency has been corrected.

18. Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors.

19. Follow the procedures of Quality Management System for effective implementation and control.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Study drawings for the projects and understanding requirements
• Determine operation requirements and preparing schedule
• Liaise with internal/external parties for the execution of works
• Ensure timely delivery of projects according to schedule
• Updating of project records for reporting purposes and submission of reports
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical/operational issues independently
• Undertake ad-hoc duties related to project execution

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or any equivalent
• Min. 2 years of experience
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

1. Assist M&E/ Design Consultants in reviewing the design intend and identify system discrepancies or improve system performance if necessary.
2. Carry out value engineering to the system whenever necessary without compromising the system performance and compliance to the local authorities’ requirements / Local Code of Practices.
3. Perform Equipment selection in accordance to the engineering calculation done and approved by M&E Consultants.
4. Perform sizing and selection of the Electrical system material in accordance to the engineering calculation done and approved by M&E Consultants.
5. Liaise with the equipment suppliers and material suppliers to ensure selection of the equipment are relevant and compliance to the technical specification/requirements.
6. Prepare technical submission to M&E Consultants for approval and follow up on the comment (if any) related to the submission.
7. Work closely with the associate team members to see that overall Electrical system design development are meeting the design intend of M&E Consultants.
8. Take charge in the overall planning and execution of Electrical system Testing & Commissioning.
