Job Description
Main Responsibilities
āReport to the Operations Manager
ā Check the schedule on a regular basis for arrival times and changes in them
ā Gather and transport all supplies needed for the set up of a function including but not limited, silver, china, linen, skirts, glassware, condiments etc.
ā Set up buffet tables according to One Paradise and function requirements with a creative flair.
ā Properly set all tables, side stations and the back of the house areas for functions according to service standards
ā Report any incident to immediate superior and followed up with the events report
ā Assist in the placement of any food items in a function room for a display or a buffet and the ability to serve from buffet line
ā Serve, prepare the proper mise-en-place for any function
ā Serve all food and beverage function according to the standards set forth by One Paradise
ā Attentive to the needs of all the guests in the function room providing them with dependable, punctual and enthusiastic service
ā Ensure all tables and the function room is clean and neat prior to leaving for the shift
ā Ensure all food and beverage items to return the kitchen or to the Supervisor of the Function
ā Ensure all condiments including salt, pepper, sugar, flowers, skirts, and candelabra go back to store
ā Service all functions including plated, buffet, silver- served or VIP meals, coffee breaks, benefits, theme parties, weddings, receptions, outside catering etc.
ā Respond properly in any emergency or safety situation.
ā Adhere to companyās standard operating procedures
ā Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
ā Good communication skills
ā Minimum of 1 year experience in banquet service
ā Pleasant personality and jovial
ā Possess a good sense of responsibility and commitment
