What You Will Do:

• Manage geographically dispersed team of legal professionals;
• Draft, review, revise, negotiate, and provide counsel to the business on commercial contracts;
• Advise management on legal issues arising from Caterpillar's relationship with third parties, including specific commercial, disputes, regulatory, compliance, investigation, and other issues that may arise from time to time;
• Work with other subject matter experts in Caterpillar;
• Provide counselling on legal matters and related risks and opportunities based on an accurate interpretation of the law as it applies to various situations;
• Have and/or develop a deep understanding of the business, to consult with management on matters involving significant risk to the enterprise and requiring a high degree of confidentiality.
• Work independently but with support and collaboration of other attorneys and senior leadership within the Law, Security & Public Policy Division;

• Coordinate with outside counsel in the region to obtain local advice.

• Minimum requirements of the position include post-qualification legal experience, called to the bar in at least one Commonwealth jurisdiction and legally permitted to practice as an in-house lawyer in Singapore.

• Work closely with HODs and line managers in projection of manpower estab and review hiring request. Partner with Talent Acquisition team to preplan forward hiring for projected attrition.
