The Operations Manager (Commercial and Environmental) is responsible for providing the overall direction of the organisation within the guidelines set up by the board of directors or a similar governing body. As a systems thinker, he or she will strategize and directs operational activities and translate organisational goals into achievable steps, anticipates and stays ahead of trends and takes advantage of opportunities. He or She will also mentor the management team as part of succession planning and represents the organisation in meetings with clients, investors and business partners.

He or She is expected to be at our project sites and build relationships with our clients and work closely with the Commercial and Environmental - Operations Executive as part of his role.

This requires him or her to be organised, strategic, adaptable, highly driven and capable of interacting with key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead teams

- Develop strategy plans to promote organisation core values

- Manage the professionalism of the staff

- Mentor and lead management staff

2. Drive business operations

- Drive the overall growth of business and operations

3. Manage client relationships

4. Manage Incidents

- Oversee the conduct and review of contingency plans

- Endorse emergency and crisis management response plans, processes and procedures

- Provide direction on analysed trends of reported incidents

5. Manage cleaning services

- Coordinate with supervisor and client to ensure quality service delivery (compiling, analysing, development and review of operation plans to improve work procedures and quality service delivery)

- Ensure cleaning teams adhere to safety measures to during cleaning operation

- Assist in budget planning for cleaning operations

- Review daily cleaning job reports for submission to management

- Preparing periodic schedules and all other documentations and ensure all periodic schedules has been enforced and followed up accordingly.

- Covering of manpower if needed (requires you to do hands-on cleaning)

- Recruiting of manpower for projects

- Resolving all matters/ incidents on site

6. Manage inventory, equipment and maintenance schedule

- Stocktake and allocating of equipment and/or technologies and supplies to project sites

- Identify and recommend suitable equipment and/or technologies to improve cleaning operations

- Implement maintenance schedules for tools and equipment

7. Manage cleaning teams

- Facilitating in planning of work schedules, deployment of manpower, effective work processes and capability development of staff

8. Manage incidents

- Guide teams to respond to major incidents/emergencies and reporting it to the management

9. Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements:

- At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

The individual will be a key portfolio manager responsible for managing MAPS’ multi-asset funds, namely the Investment-linked Funds of our insurance clients and our institutional mandates.

The person is expected to have 5-7 years’ experience in investment research and portfolio management. This role requires proven expertise on investment view creation, portfolio construction, risk management and analytics, including management and idea generation for total return, VAR-controlled mandates. Specifically, he/she will be part of the subject matter expert sub-team specialising in derivatives and medium-term macro investing framework.

The role requires strong quantitative and technical knowledge in conducting, as well as providing guidance to the junior analysts for, back-testing of investment strategies and portfolio stress analysis. This requires deep qualitative understanding of market fundamentals and drivers.

The person is also expected to have strong inter-personal and presentation skills, and he/she is required to have regular engagements with clients and investors, making presentations on our team’s market views and strategies and fund performance updates. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Fund Management:

• Manage total return funds in accordance with the funds objectives.
• Responsible for portfolio construction and risk management across different alpha streams to enable success across different clients.
• Own the responsibility on fund performance, and client reporting, and investment communication with clients.
• Collectively own team’s investment ideas and translation into total return portfolios

Research:

• Contribute to team’s global asset allocation views and investment ideas, including medium-term macro trade ideas.
• Derivatives-focused ideas for risk management and alpha generation.
• Responsible for specific tactical asset allocation scorecards, including cross asset strategies.
• Drive improvements to the investment process by developing new ideas, strategies and processes, particularly across total return funds.
• Develop frameworks, models, analysis, and processes to identify multi-asset opportunities.
• Mid-level member of the team who will mentor and guide more junior team members.

Client Support:

• Collaborate across the team in developing new multi-asset solutions and innovating to improve the outcome for existing products.
• Drive client pitches and presentations with existing and prospective clients, as needed.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and support functions across all aspects of fund management, including dealing/execution, fund administration, performance measurement, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
