Overview

The APAC Regional Environmental, Health and Safety Manager reports directly to Bio-Rad’s Global EHS Director and will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies across all locations in Bio-Rad’s APAC region. This position will manage compliance with all Bio-Rad’s EHS policies and standards and all local EHS regulations for each location within the region. The APAC Regional EHS Manager will have overall management responsibility for the region’s sites, the EHS Managers, and staff in the region. The individual will be the subject matter expert for all APAC regional EHS matters, and will act as an advisor to the regional site management teams to ensure compliance with all local EHS regulatory requirements and Bio-Rad corporate EHS standards, and to identify and close out any identified non-conformance issues.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Implements Bio-Rad’s EHS standards, provides technical assistance on EHS issues, and partners with the business on compliance, project management, and EHS management issues at Bio-Rad APAC locations
• Ensures Bio-Rad’s APAC regional EHS compliance material and logs (e.g. permits, fees, training records, written procedures are maintained for each location
• Provides expertise in all key health and safety programs across the region
• Collaborates with site manufacturing and EHS leadership to lead the development, implementation, and achievement of goals within the APAC Region
• Develops predictive risk analysis program to identify critical EHS risks and provide preventive actions to mitigate potential risks
• Deploys safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental processes which demonstrate continuous improvement in EHS processes and programs
• Conducts technical research to assess and mitigate risk to chemical exposure, noise exposure, air quality issues, ergonomics, radiation and other potential exposure risk issues
• Establishes guidelines and investigative protocols surrounding EHS incidents that address reporting criteria, causation, accountability, remedial actions and incident tracking and closure of corrective actions
• Leads the development of an extended contractor support organization that delivers EHS excellence and compliance programs and standards across all APAC locations
• Partners with the Corporate Global EHS team to mobilize technical experts and other resources within and outside the region to support achievement of the company's EHS strategy and site-specific goals
• Participates in the development of the company's Global EHS Strategy

What You Bring:

• Bachelor or Master level Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in managing EHS across multiple countries in the APAC region including China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, Australia, New Zealand, etc
• Good analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate, present and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Enrolled Nurse

The incumbent shall be responsible to:

· Support Registered Nurses (RNs) in the coordination of care of patients

· Assist physicians and RNs in bedside procedures and treatment

· Communicate effectively and maintain collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary healthcare team members

· Provide patient education to patients, Next of Kin (NOK) and caregivers on self-care management

· Attend to and assist RNs in patient resuscitation or medical emergencies

· Support clinical supervision of new enrolled nurses, support care staff and coaching of nursing students in the delivery of nursing care

· Identify common causes of patient safety incidents and work with the supervisor and senior nurses in carrying out quality improvement activities

· Be a team player and participate in clinical audits as required

· NITEC in Nursing or State Enrolled Nurse Certificate

· At least 1 year of experience as Enrolled Nurse in relevant discipline

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices

• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
• Conduct internal audits for ISO, EMS, OHSAS and Health& Safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
• Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
• You are required to report work-related accident to MOM and HR, follow up with MOM if there’s any investigation required or any further action
• Follow up medical report form to the hospital or clinic and completed medical report sent to MOM
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
• Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short- and long-term strategic safety planning and development
• Take part and lead in the Risk Assessment development
• Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment
• Work within company policy as outlined in HR Policy Manual and OSHA Safety rules and regulations where applicable
• Coordinate and conduct management review for all the three compliance standards at predetermine frequency
• Focus on continual improvements to enhance further compliance standards performance

You will also network with the government departments and voluntary organisation to facilitate service accessibility for patients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
• At least 1 year experience in dietetics-related work. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

• Ability to work independently in running clinical services at Polyclinics.
• Have to be prepared to travel to different Polyclinics within NUP

You will facilitate patients’ journey through the various service points in polyclinic by assisting with patients’ registration, appointment scheduling and rescheduling, referral, and payment. You will provide patient care services such as measurement of height, weight, and blood pressure. You will promote and educate patients of self-help services and mobile applications. You will also manage patients’ general enquiries and screen patients’ general condition. You will perform outgoing calls to patients to attend to their escalated requests. You will provide administrative support as and when required. This position is on a 5.5 days’ work week.
