The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst. The rapid population ageing in Singapore calls for innovative solutions. We aim to assess the impact of health promotion programmes (e.g. urban care farming, cognition training, etc) on the health and health-related behaviours of participants. The Postdoctoral Fellow will play a critical role in the development of the Centre’s research to support health policy and services research in Singapore and the region, gaining the opportunity to work with leading experts and policy makers in the field. The Job Holder will be the key data analyst for Health District@Queenstown (HD) related projects under NUHS, and provide support to fine-tune rapid prototyping and continuous iteration to improve health of residents using a data-driven approach, as well as analyses based on geographical boundaries.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with relevant stakeholders in obtaining necessary datasets.
• Data extraction from accessible databases, merging and cleaning it.
• Analyse datasets to provide meaningful insights and learnings.
• Perform calculations according to MOH technical manual to determine screening rates in HD.
• Translate stakeholder needs to generate analysis to support continuous iteration of interventions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Health Sciences or other relevant majors. Postgrad diploma in data analytics or any other data analytics relevant certificates. Master’s degree in public health is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of the Singapore healthcare system and knowledge of integrated care models. Experience in social and/or healthcare setting is an added advantage.
• Good analytical skills.
• Proficient in Python and/or R, STATA, Tableau and SQL
• Must be able to extract, clean and analyse data.
• Ability to perform geospatial analysis is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, writing and interpersonal skill.
• Good team player.
• Possess positive attitude and able to work within given timeline.

Job Duties

• Ensuring a high level of quality in the services and deliverables provided by the company
• Involved in the quality assurance and service level agreement of maintenance projects
• Actively assisting maintenance customers to monitor issues, changes, and handle queries they have
• Work with the technical team to ensure that all fixes for maintenance projects are delivered on time
• Manage and ensure timely delivery of projects
• Liaising with clients to discuss and identify their project requirements
• Evaluate and resolve any discrepancies and problems that arises during project delivery
• Actively engaging customers to find out their level of satisfaction with the services provided
• Initiate processes to improve the service level provided by the company
• Analyze, remove, and proactively prevent roadblocks across team to meet quality standards, project milestones, and business objectives
• Ensure project output consistently meets requirements and standards
• Outstanding candidates will be groomed and trained for management role, to lead a team in the future

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in IT Software or related field.
• Certifications in Project Management are advantageous.
• Working knowledge in MS Office, Project Management and Visio.
• Able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Customer-oriented person with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the implementation of one or more Healthcare Application projects

2. Develop good project management skills to achieve project objectives

16. Review and monitor daily jobs to ensure timely delivery of data

Qualifications and Experience

1. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

2. At least 3-5 years of relevant IT project experiences with implementation involvement in at least 1-2 project cycles

3. At least 5 year of project management experience with hands-on experience in project implementation and vendor management in medium-scale to large-scale projects

4. Experience in healthcare industry, preferably with broad understanding of healthcare business processes like patient administration, patient accounting, and bed management processes will be an added plus

5. Seasoned experience in gathering and documenting business requirements from end-users

6. Solid understanding and hands on experience in all phases of project system development lifecycle

7. Strong communication skills and end-user focused

8. Effective written and verbal communication skill

9. Coach and team player to ensure team meets delivery targets
