Role Overview—

The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer (WSHO) is a safety professional in, occupational safety, health, and environment, and focused on protecting lives and preventing harm to property and the environment.
Regulated by the Workplace Safety and Health (Workplace Safety and Health Officers) Regulations, their primary responsibility is to support the organisation's WSH procedures and this includes conducting safety checks to ensure compliance with organisational and legal WSH standards, assisting Project Managers in monitoring daily work practices, gathering worker feedback, evaluating workplace risks and hazards, and escalating safety issues for corrective and preventive action.
