Job Description
General AV Operations
· Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment within the school premises.
· Provide technical support in lighting, audio, video, and stage management for events organized by the Authority or external parties.
Lighting
· Set up, operate, and manage lighting equipment to ensure optimal illumination and ambiance during events.
Audio
· Set up and manage audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, and mixer soundboards (both digital and analogue).
· Ensure optimal sound quality for live audiences and recordings, including balancing audio levels, managing live feeds and delivering clear audio for speeches, music and other event components.
Video
· Operate video equipment such as cameras, projectors, and editing tools.
· Perform live-streaming, event recording, and display visual elements.
· Ensure video quality and content align with the events’ objectives.
Stage Management
· Set up and manage the physical stage, ensuring safety, proper arrangement, and necessary equipment such as podiums and seating.
· Coordinate transitions between event segments (e.g., speeches, performances, presentations) with the Authority's staff.
AV Support for Staff and Students
· Assist in setting up ICT/AV equipment for events, meetings, and lessons.
· Provide video recording support for school events and lessons.
· Supervise students tasked with video recording events.
· Conduct AV training sessions for students and staff.
ICT/AV Planning and Procurement
· Collaborate with the SH (ICT) / ICT Manager to propose solutions addressing ICT/AV challenges, including technical specifications and cost assessments.
· Support the Authority in procurement processes for ICT/AV solutions and services, such as the following:
· Requirement Gathering: Assist the ICT department in gathering specific user requirements for AV equipment
· Demo and Testing Coordination: Liaise with the ICT department to organize and oversee product demonstrations or testing of proposed AV solutions to assess their functionality and suitability for the Authority's needs.
· Vendor and Liaison: Work with the ICT department to liaise with selected vendors during installation and commissioning.
ICT & AV Resource Management
· Assist in managing the Authority's ICT/AV resources.
· Conduct annual maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repairs of ICT/AV hardware.
Media Post-Production
· Video Editing
· Compile raw footage, arrange clips and create cohesive narratives.
· Add titles, subtitles and on-screen graphics and animations to enhance video content.
Sound Editing and Mixing
· Edit dialogue, remove unwanted sounds, and enhance audio clarity.
· Add ambient sounds, sound effects, or music to enrich audio quality.
· Select and propose suitable music tracks for videos.
Other Tasks
· Any other duties assigned by the Authority.
Requirements
· Possess 1 qualification in one of the fields; professional lighting system, professional audio system, video system or multimedia content editing.
· Possess minimally 1 year experience in setup and management of professional AV system.
· Possess minimally 1 year experience in setup and management of video systems.
· Possess minimally 1 year experience in multimedia content editing.
Working hours
· Monday to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
· Fridays: 7:00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. However, if required to work beyond the working hours during weekdays and work on Saturdays, the candidate will be compensated with off-in-lieu.
