Our ideal teacher is:

• Talented in mathematics and is familiar with the primary school math syllabus. He/she should be willing to learn and teach olympiad math.
• A skillful teacher who can deliver mathematical concepts clearly and ensures that his/her students achieve 100% understanding in the lesson.
• An effective communicator with primary school children and can develop a strong rapport with them.

It will be an added bonus if the teacher has:

• Previous math olympiad experience
• Previous teaching experience
• A math or education-related degree or diploma
• Tutors who can teach on multiple days and multiple classes per daywill be prioritised.

About The Math Classroom

The Math Classroom is Singapore’s top mathematics training centre. Our mission is to help students get into their dream school by excelling in Mathematics. We do this by making sure that students:

• Understand everything we teach in class. We correct all misconceptions
• Can solve similar types of questions on their own if they appear in tests and exams
• Learn frameworks and tools to analyze and solve new questions that they have not previously encountered.

In the last 5 years, we have helped over 90% of students achieve A*s and As in the PSLE; produced over 100 top tier awards winners in national and international competitions; and helped 50% of our P6 competition math students gain Direct School Admission (DSA) offers to the top schools including Raffles Institution, Hwa Chong Institution and ACS Independent.

*Salary range is based on teaching 12-24 hrs a week in a 4-week month

Work Location: Kallang Area

Work Week: 5.5 days

Working Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

Saturday: 9 am to 1:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement through networking initiatives that connect senior leaders and industry experts. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among members to drive innovation and sustainable growth.
2. Media Amplification: Lead efforts to amplify the company’s thought leadership through various media channels.
3. Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with organizations across geographies. Build relationships with key stakeholders to create synergies that enhance the company’s offerings and expand its reach.
4. Global Market Access Consulting: Oversee the execution of customized Go-To-Market strategies for clients looking to establish or expand their presence in international markets. Provide insights on market dynamics and assist in navigating local ecosystems.
5. Talent Development: Design and implement initiatives supporting community professional development. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and networking events to enhance members' skills and capabilities.
6. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align business development strategies with organizational goals. Ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement and community initiatives.
7. Performance Metrics Tracking: Establish KPIs to measure the success of business development initiatives, community engagement activities, and partnership outcomes. Report on progress to senior management.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering – highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, focusing on community engagement or consulting.
3. Proven track record of developing successful business strategies and partnerships across multiple geographies.
4. Strong understanding of market dynamics in various sectors, including technology, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage senior leaders effectively.
6. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proficiency in using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy formulation.
8. Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
10. A proactive leader passionate about community building and networking.
