Position: Business Development Associate
Position Overview:
Ryde is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Business Development Associate to join our Business Development team. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable revenue growth from our new business pillars. The Business Development Associate will manage the acquisition and relationships with Ryde’s partners and merchants in Singapore, planning and executing strategic partnerships to extend our reach and explore new and untapped business opportunities. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, you will be a key strategic member of the team, contributing to Ryde’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Acquisition and Management:
- Identify and Secure Partners: Identify, contact, and secure potential partners and merchants for Ryde.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new partners to ensure long-term collaboration.
- Value Proposition: Present compelling business cases to demonstrate clear value propositions to partners and merchants.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Partnership Strategies: Plan and execute strategic partnerships aligned with Ryde’s business goals.
- Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the market to identify and execute value creation opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of partnership initiatives.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Trend Identification: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
- Data Utilization: Utilize data analytics and CRM tools to build insights from client conversations and partnerships.
Communication and Coordination:
- Internal Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams to align partnership strategies.
- Professionalism: Maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Metric Tracking: Track and report on partnership performance and business development metrics.
- Insight Reporting: Provide regular updates and insights to the Business Development Manager and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Management or a related field, or a career path indicating success in this role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development
- Proven track record in developing and closing new business opportunities.
- Results-Oriented: Strong initiative to self-generate and close opportunities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in data analytics and CRM tools.
- Problem-Solving: Self-motivated with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
