The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Associate in the Human Potential Translational Research Programme (HPTRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The HPTRP aims to bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines with an interest to maximise human potential. Purpose of the post

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to coordinate data collection and support research operations under the Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) birth cohort study. The Research Associate will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigators and study team members to ensure the successful completion of GUSTO projects on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as data collection, data entry and analysis and drafting of publications and reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will liaise with the relevant personnel to smooth the process of recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator(s).

The Research Associate will be expected to:

1. Conduct surveys and interviews with children, adolescents, and parents at KK Children’s and Women’s Hospital

The HRPC is a first-of-its-kind research centre, established at the NUS, to spearhead and conduct research and development to better enable the future challenges arising from rising ambient heat. The Research Assistant/Associate who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary group comprising exercise and thermal physiologists, data scientists, biomedical engineers and researchers. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to not only develop your expertise in research planning and execution, but also to be a part of the team looking to generate fundamental and forward-looking solutions to working in the heat. There are also opportunities to pursue a part-time PhD with HRPC.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with research PIs and teams to develop new research ideas
