We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive (Projects) to join our team. In this key role, you will support the coordination and execution of critical HR initiatives, including internal audits, ISO certifications, SEDEX compliance, EcoVadis sustainability assessments, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Support
- Lead and manage the planning and execution of key HR-related projects to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers for project deliverables as required.
- Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Internal Audit Support
- Develop and implement audit plans, ensuring that internal HR processes and practices are regularly reviewed for effectiveness and compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments to address audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed within stipulated timeframes.
- Regularly assess the internal HR policies and procedures for gaps and areas for improvement to align with industry standards.
ISO Certification Assistance
- Assist in conducting internal assessments and gap analyses to ensure that HR processes align with ISO standards.
- Support the development of action plans to address non-conformance issues and ensure alignment with regulatory and quality standards.
- Drive the preparation and maintenance of the required documentation and evidence for ISO certification audits.
SEDEX Compliance Support
- Monitor and report on supplier and partner compliance with ethical business practices, focusing on labor standards, health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure that corrective actions are taken in response to any compliance issues identified through SEDEX audits.
EcoVadis Sustainability Assessments
- Support the organization in tracking and improving its sustainability performance, focusing on key HR-related sustainability initiatives, such as employee well-being, diversity, and inclusion efforts.
- Develop and maintain systems for ongoing sustainability reporting and assist in the compilation of annual sustainability reports.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Support
- Help develop and implement innovative CSR initiatives that engage employees and contribute positively to society and the environment.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and teams across the business to align CSR projects with the company’s core values and business goals.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of CSR initiatives and report on outcomes to senior management.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct regular assessments of HR practices to ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO, SEDEX, EcoVadis).
- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes, ensuring the ongoing evolution of the department’s compliance practices.
- Provide ongoing training to HR team members on compliance requirements and best practices to mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Engagement Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, suppliers, and certification bodies.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed about project goals, progress, and outcomes, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Data Management & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reports on the status of ongoing HR projects, sustainability initiatives, and compliance assessments for senior leadership.
- Ensure accurate data collection and analysis for all HR-related projects, including audits, certifications, and CSR activities, using appropriate software tools.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key metrics and project performance, providing insights to improve decision-making.
Employee Engagement & Well-being Support
- Contribute to initiatives that foster employee engagement, well-being, and satisfaction, particularly those linked to sustainability and CSR programs.
- Support the development of employee-focused programs, such as wellness initiatives, volunteering opportunities, and sustainability training.
Ad-Hoc Project Assistance
- Take on additional HR-related tasks and projects as needed, assisting with ad-hoc initiatives that support organizational goals or address immediate business needs.
- Assist in the execution of strategic HR initiatives as directed by the senior HR leadership team, ensuring they align with the overall business strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Certification or coursework in HR, sustainability, or project management (e.g., ISO, SEDEX compliance) is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior professional HR experience is required, although internships, volunteer work, or academic projects related to HR, sustainability, or corporate responsibility will be an advantage.
- A keen interest in HR practices, project management, compliance, and sustainability is essential.
