We are seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner (SEA) to support our Marine business units across Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Australia. In this strategic role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in the SEA region, acting as a vital bridge between the Marine business segment and the HR function. Your focus will be on aligning HR initiatives with overall business objectives while driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement and HR process improvements tailored specifically to the Marine entities in SEA.

HRBP

• Partner with Marine business leaders in Southeast Asia to develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that support business objectives and drive organizational growth in the Marine industry.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the managers on a range of HR matters including performance management, employee relations, talent development, and succession planning specifically within the Marine industry.
• Drive the talent acquisition process for Marine positions, partnering with recruitment teams to attract, assess, and select top talent with expertise in the Marine industry.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to ensure effective delivery of HR services specifically tailored for the Marine industry, including compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee engagement.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends within the Marine industry to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
• Lead change management initiatives within the entities to support organizational transformation and ensure smooth implementation of HR programs in the Marine entities in SEA.
• Stay updated on HR best practices, legal requirements, and industry trends within the Marine industry to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement specifically for the Marine business units in Southeast Asia

HR Operations

• To boost onboarding employee experience and maintain high level of motivation of a new join. You will be accountable for onboarding process, as well coordination of orientation/new join training plan. This includes liaising with internal stakeholder to refresh information on orientation slides.
• Application, maintenance, and termination of employees’ medical insurance.
• Yearly renewal of employee benefit insurance and WICA
• Responsible for monthly payroll of various entities in SEA (dealing with payroll vendors to ensure staff is paid correctly and on time)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in the Marine industry or related maritime sectors within SEA.
• In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws in Southeast Asia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities:

• Manage all HR functions across Singapore, Malaysia and China. (Approx 50 staffs)
• Work closely with team leads on talents recruitment process, training and performance evaluation plans.
• Drive improvements in talents experience through internal communications and engagement programmes.
• Deliver efficient and effective on boarding experience for all new hires.
• Manage the payroll and benefits administration, ensure accurate payroll and timely processing.
• Champion and lead ad-hoc passion projects across the region.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Organizational Development/ Talents Engagement/ Internal
• Communications/ Stakeholder Engagement/Performance Measurement in a dynamic culture and creative environment.
• A Degree in Human Resource is preferred.
• Expertise in developing and implementing talent engagement strategies, including performance motivation, training, retention, and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to day HR support to the Operations and work closely with HQ HR and Facilities Management Operations team on all HR matters.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle for Operations hiring (incl. job ad posting, shortlist of candidates, schedule for interviews, job offer and arrange onboarding).

• Handle the work pass for foreign workers (application, renewal, cancellation, etc.).

• Conduct orientation to newly hired employees.

• Identify training courses as requested by the Operations and handle course registration and training grant.

• Perform daily check on workers' attendance and to ensure the attendance is captured and approved in Operations system and HR system correctly and promptly.

• Keep track the workers' OT and monitor the payroll costs.

• Update of cost allocation for the workers' in the system and issue staff letter.

• Handle leave administration for the workers and liaise with Operations to get leave updates input in the HR system with leave remarks indicated in Operations system.

• Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant documents and information (e.g Operations system attendance, Leave update, Performance Incentive summary, etc).

• Gather all the necessary documents and update employee records (hard and soft copies).

• Process documentation and prepare HR reports relating to staffing, recruitment, training, grievances and performance evaluations, etc.

• Handle staff grievances and complaints and provide HR advice to the Operations.

• Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee's termination and maintain proper documentation.

• Handle staff WICA claims, file WSH Incident report to MOM and follow up with the insurer on the claim process.

• Provide support on ad-hoc HR related tasks/projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

• Good knowledge of Employment Act and HR practices and regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (good knowledge of MS Excel)

• Experience in using Timesoft is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for teaching and non-teaching staff. Apply for work passes (EP/SP/WP) for foreign talents when necessary.
