Purpose of the Job

Reporting to Finance Manager to support the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform financial accounting for a full set of accounts; monthly/quarterly/year-end closing
• Main PIC to work closely with Shared Service Centers (SSC) on posting/reviewing of daily/month-end closing journal entries
• Prepare external audit deliverables and support Group reporting requirements on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Perform monthly variance analysis on B/S & P/L
• Prepare and review intercompany cost allocation and recharges/billings
• Work closely with Business PICs to ensure that accruals are accurately recorded in the books
• Support in the training of new joiners on Finance policies
• Prepare presentation materials periodically for the management (Financial / Managerial accounting matters)
• Work with internal or regional teams for continuous improvement of processes
• Support key regional projects including new / changes in accounting standards, financial systems
• Continuously improve and optimize our financial workflows and conventions and use existing technology tools and applications to increase efficiency and automation

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
• More than 5 years of experience with a mix of Big 4 accounting firm and commercial experience
• CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
• Experience in SAP is required
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company procedures.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong business sense with good financial analysis

As an Assistant Manager / Conservatory Operations, you will be responsible for the husbandry and maintenance of the plants and displays within the Conservatories.

You will be required to manage multiple stakeholders including horticulture vendors, collaboration partners and cultural groups who may be involved in the floral displays.

You will manage and contribute to programs and activities to provide a more immersive experience for our visitors through our floral displays.

Requirements:

• Degree in Horticulture/ Botany/ Plant Science/ Environmental Science-related discipline, preferably with 2 years’ of relevant working experience in a relevant field of work
• Possess a keen and passionate interest in plants and gardening with a focus on exceeding visitor expectations
• Assist in coming out with the concept art for floral displays and other installations in the conservatories
• Ability to work out innovative solutions to challenges which may arise
• Service-oriented team player who is prepared to be hands-on
• Experience in horticulture, plants and flowers would be an advantage
• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to build relationships and cultivate collaborations and partnerships
• Good knowledge of various computer software and applications including Microsoft Office

The Role:

The incumbent identifies business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve hotel's performance. Responsible for assigned sales target in accordance to cluster segmentation, to work closely with each salesperson to identify opportunities and ways to maximize and exceed personal and team revenue goals.

• Continuously solicit for new business that expands our client base using action plans focused on the market segment identified by the Director of Sales.
• Prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales.
• Plan, execute and follow-up on sales trips as approved.
• Work closely with other sales associates and calling in on important customers and establishing multiple levels of contacts within the customer’s organisation.
• Participate in the sales meetings by sharing latest market trends and new business development opportunities and activities.

• Actively assist the Credit Department in follow-up of overdue accounts.
• Complete small administrative tasks on your own (i.e., photocopying, filing) where possible.

• Comprehend, digest and comply to hotel policies and procedure as described in the Associate Handbook and other documents.
• Support and uphold the Hotel’s Mission, Vision and guiding principles.
• Adhere to all established policies and procedures relating to administration of accounts and ultimate booking of business.
• Other duties assigned by the Director of Sales when required from time to time.

Talent Profile:

• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in a proactive Sales Role in an established luxury hotels with large meeting spaces.
• Proven track records of achieving revenue in 4 to 5-Star Hotel under MICE sales.
• Driven, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, spoken and written communication skills.
• An excellent team player who is able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
