As an Assistant Senior Social Worker within the agency, you may be deployed to work with various client groups. We have opportunities in various services which include Individuals & Families, Children & Youth, Mental Health and Seniors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Casework

• Conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, provide consultations, and support holistic case management.
• Maintain accurate casework documentation, approve case assessments, and support reviews of complex cases.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and monitor case plans, and provide supervisory support for high-risk cases.

Group Work

• Assist in leading therapeutic, psychoeducational, and support group sessions.
• Supervise and evaluate group work activities.

Community Work

• Guide community needs assessments and environmental scanning.
• Assist in the development and implementation of community initiatives.

Programme Development & Implementation

• Support the development of programs to address service gaps and improve service delivery.
• Assist in managing the end-to-end development and delivery of programs.

Professional Leadership

• Ensure adherence to ethical codes and standards of practice within the team.
• Assist in guiding systemic social service delivery.

Research

• Identify gaps and trends for systematic study and assist in research projects.

Other Responsibilities

• Support clinical competency development, manage critical incidents, and prepare reports and projects.
• Provide field supervision and share knowledge for social work/counseling students and mentor new supervisors.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor/Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Social Work. Additional qualifications in specialized fields are advantageous.
• Be a registered Social Worker or Counsellor.
• 4-6 years’ experience in social work, with a focus on casework, counseling, group work and community work.
• Proficiency in oral and written English, strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, good clinical and supervision skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in lesson planning, classroom preparation and teaching in classes
• Assist teachers in conducting assessments, implementing strategies, monitoring progress and evaluating goals for students
• Assist teachers in implementing effective classroom management strategies
• Collaborate and partner parents / caregivers and allied professionals in each student’s learning journey
• Maintain inventories of equipment, materials and supplies
• Manage administrative tasks as assigned by reporting officer

Facilitate Holistic Student Development

• Build a strong relationship with students by demonstrating care, concern and encouragement so as to build a physically, emotionally and socially-safe environments to enhance motivation and behaviour, and opportunities for learning
• Deliver interventions using appropriate, methods, tools and assistive technologies to support learning under supervision
• Implement positive, robust classroom routines and practices that support student learning and engagement

Job Holder Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC, 3 GCE ‘O’ Level passes (including English language) or equivalent qualification for Early Childhood Educarer
• Strong interest and commitment in working with children with developmental / special needs (e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, etc)
• Able to handle the physical demands of the role, such as lifting and carrying the students and equipment, and cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities.

1. Apply for inspections / audits as per monthly schedule provided and liaison with the auditor / inspector / agents for smooth arrangement.
2. Update online (Crew Matrix, Q88, HVPQ).
3. Provide HVPQ / Class Status / Crew Matrix to the vessel prior inspection.
4. Update QSMS software with observations / operator’s comments for inspection / audits.
5. Open or close drill / training reports from the vessel in the QSMS software.
6. Prepare documents / charterer’s questionnaire as required by the Superintendent.
7. Process marine related invoice (SIRE / CDI / Class audits / VRP / SMFF / GNS / Milbros, etc. in BASS system.
8. Assist CSO in security related records and documentation.
9. Assist in marine filing / new take over vessel documentation.
10. Assist DPA, ADPA, ACCM and vetting manager in updating various marine safety related files, documentation, formatting of word /excel / PPT docs.
11. Back up for marine executive/assistant manager job during his / her absence.
12. Others – As required by the Marine Safety or Operations Superintendent / Managers / Deputy Directors.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a business development or community management role, preferably within a trade association though not compulsory.
• Demonstrated success in building and nurturing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior-level executives
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide strategic, solution-oriented advice to member businesses
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both one-on-one and in group settings
• Degree-level qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises

• Possess knowledge in GMP and halal certification processes
• Assist in GMP preparation for audit
• Assist QC manager in daily operations
• Testing of finished products against specifications and to notify for any out of specifications
• Maintenance of manufacturing facility as per GMP requirements
• Prepare products for testing from external laboratories
• Conduct instrument analysis and calibration of laboratory equipment and basic equipment maintenance
• Assist in generation of Certificate of Analysis
• Conduct incoming materials check

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Chemistry or relevant courses
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to write and communicate in English
• Knowledge in Excel and word
• Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
